Do these help with the pain while playing a reed instrument or do they make it harder? Clarinet player with braces here!

They don’t really stay in well enough To help anything. If they stayed in they would be Brest but they don’t. And I work with braces for a living.

My son has a removable retainer and the wires on the sides are hurting his cheeks. Wax falls off. Would I be able to cut these to snap over the wires?

I bought them but didn’t use. They are soft, you can cut them.

Do they get filled with salavia often or do they prevent from salavia built up?

I would say neither, really. They attach pretty firmly to the braces, they are just uncomfortable in the back of my mouth, because of sharp ends.
