This product was purchased for my wife. Her big toes curl upwards and as a result; her toes would wear through the top of her tennis shoes before the sole was slightly worn. She has found them to be comfortable and enjoys having her shoes last more then just a few months. After wearing them for the time period she would have had to purchase new shoes - her tennis shoes were fine. It has been the first time in our 34 years of marriage she hasn't worn out the top of her shoes. The shoes she wears gets a lot of use and the souls are finally showing some minor wear - but the tops are perfectly fine.Likely not the total reason for this product being made - but I've come to understand that my wife isn't the only one who suffers from this problem. picture shows the caps on the second toe but they are so big they would only fit the big toe and I needed them for my second toe. The listing was misleading and I returned them.

Finally a Toe cap that works as it stays in place. It fits just snug enough to not wad up and easily removed.
