The box says 3rd edition but, that is just counting the early test versions. The 3rd edition is the only commercial release.

How well does this play with 2 players?

I really enjoyed it with 2 players. The game didn’t take as long as with 3 or 4. Probably my favorite way to play the game is with 2 players.

The copy that I ordered from this listing was the third edition.

Does the game have magic and spells?

I believe 1 boss has a magic staff otherwise no. 99 percent is magic free
