Fortunately for you, they do not. The game is pretty well balanced and share's many of the Video Games aspects (like losing blood echoes upon death etc.). Rest assured your genitalia are safe from this board game.

What makes this game require 3 players (instead of 2)? I mostly just play games with my wife - could we easily adapt the rules a bit for just us two?

As near as I can tell, you should be able to play with 2. You would need to adapt the rules a bit so that it is adequately challenging. My understanding is that it plays best for 4 or more.Dave
