NORTHSTAR Pure Lead Automotive Group 24F Battery NSB-AGM24F

Very heavy battery, fit perfectly in place of stock 24F size battery (installed in a 2008 Lexus RX350, which has a 3.5L V6). It's been in the 30's lately and this battery cranks the engine over faster than my previous battery (before it died) even on a warm day, although that previous battery's performance has been degrading for some time, so I could just not be remembering how it used to work when it was fresh. That previous battery was an Optima D35 size yellowtop (deep cycle) with 620CCA, compared to the 840CCA of this battery.I went with this battery over cheaper alternatives due to the Lexus's various battery-draining features (e.g. headlights that stay on after you exit, vehicle runs a fuel tank pressure test every few hours, even when the car has just been parked) and because my wife sometimes sits in the vehicle with the key on for a bit (she pumps milk for our baby while at work), which usually results in the lights being on (she leaves them on automatic mode and needs cigarette lighter power, so needs to have the key on).Also, the posts on my battery were coated in a gold-colored coating. Not sure if its to enhance conductivity, reduce corrosion, both, or something else, but it does look a bit unique.I will try and remember to update this review when the battery does eventually fail to give future purchasers a better idea of the expected lifespan; hopefully that won't be for a while though!Quick update: Tested battery capacity today, August 25, 2020, using an electronic battery capacity tester and measured 997CCA (temperature was 82F, battery voltage was 12.92, and it was fresh off a maintenance charger - not due to failure or low charge, I just like keeping cars on maintenance chargers if they aren't going to be used for a few days). It appears this battery is significantly underrated! Wish I had tested when first purchased to see how performance has changed since new.

I bought this battery in 2018 and it is still going strong. It has never failed to start the car even in 0 degrees, and I have jumped cars multiple times with no issues. The weight of the battery seems way heavier than the one I replaced, and the terminals are a much better design than regular batteries you see at the store.The only downside is the cost, but the reliability is worth it.

This 27F NorthStar battery fits perfect in a 5th Gen 4runner. Strong enough to start Everytime even after having lights on for good 20minutes. AGM is a must when off roading is in your future.But requires you to do a voltage booster to maintain full charge. AGM batteries require 14.1volts to recharge. Toyota regulates power to 13.9volts. Simple gm fuse would work. You need a General Motors DIODE 12135037-512/31/21 UPDATE !!!Battery Lasted 1year and 5months ... wont hold a charge anymore. My 2019 4Runner with original Panasonic battery had struggled running an electric ARB fridge. Several dead batteries, and then the fridge didn't stay cold.This changed dramatically when I dropped this NORTHSTAR battery in place. Fridge powered from 60F down to setpoint. And the starting is strong and sure.As recommended on several internet chats, I also installed General Motors DIODE 12135037-5 to raise voltage from 14.0 to 14.5V, and fully charge the new battery. You have to file down the edges of the diode with an emery board, but otherwise an easy switchout to diode.

I was looking for something extraordinary for my car, and because of this I purchased this battery which cost double price compare to cost of regular, very good battery. And,of course, it is important, how this battery looks like... Well, I was looking for BLUE NordStar battery, however got something GRAY...

Well made, no need for worry and it will last a long time.

Good for a year and at around the 18 month time my 2007 Solara would barely start. If the engine was shut off within 5 minutes it was jumper time. After a full charge the battery test shows 1% 190CCA and to replace. Norco charger charges it up fully and shows green once complete and the battery holds 12.8v for more than a day. Applying a load the voltage drops to 8. Hitting it a second time drops to 2v.Fortunately I still had the old wally world wet cell battery (now 6yrs old) that shows 51% with 551CCA. Put it back in the car.Can't get the Northstar AGM24F warrantied here in Dallas, TX. Need to ship it to the place of purchase. Cheaper to just buy another standard wet cell.For car batteries just buy local. Not worth the hassle of online purchase.Sad thing is this AGM battery still looks new.

Good product! Worth the money! Running baja squadrons and baja fogs, running lights and keeping everything on while camping...definitely a battery worth investing in!
