To my understanding this is in a gelatine form; why is it in a plastic container? What happens to a glass jar?

The plastic leaches into the gelatin if your not using a certain plastic (more costly than glass), this effectively neutralises any health benefits. Try source hardened glass. £25 isn't worth plastic in your food. If your charging for quality make it quality.

Just received this broth very quick thank you. Why though is this white when hot water is added? Previously made my own which was brown organic

Likely because it’s been boiled to a higher temperature. High temperatures create a white broth while Lower temperate has a more clear or brown colour.

Can i add this broth to my dogs food?

Not really sure it would be suitable as it is quite salty. Maybe the manufacturer can advise further.

Is this made with onion or garlic?

Checking the ingredients it says grass-fed, pasture-raised Australian and NZ beef leg bone extract (90%), evaporated sea salt and no additives. i couldn't taste onion or garlic. In fact, it's quite white and bland-tasting (not a problem) and needs taste added. We add vegan powdered stock and that's like having beef and vegetables...
