Just in case you aren't sure, primer is not a foundation or concealer! PRIMERS are applied before makeup to keep makeup from fading or creasing or moving. It keeps the makeup in place for several hours. SO that said, let's see how these products do. I have to admit I already use a few Smashbox products, like foundation and an undereye brightener. I don't wear makeup often but when I do (maybe once or twice a month) I want it to look nice and stay that way. AND I try to use only vegan/cruelty-free products, which these are!Photo Finish Primer... is a clear gel. Just a tiny bit is all that's needed. It spreads easily around my face in a thin layer. There is no scent, no stickiness, no heavy feel. It goes on very smoothly. When it is dry it is very light, you don't feel it on your face. It is not gummy or sticky. I put foundation on top of the primer and it went on smooth, gliding right over the primer. And then a little powder. Wow, my skin looks extra smooth because the primer has filled in some pores and finer wrinkles! Also, I am middle-aged, so yeah I have some larger wrinkles and folds, and I do not feel like they have been accentuated by using the primer. And the primer has a matte effect, keeping oil from getting through and putting a stop to shine. Even after several hours I still like the look and feel. Overall I like the comfortable wear and the younger, more flawless look I see! I give this product 5 stars.Shadow primer (full sized product!) - A little difficult to squeeze out of the tube, the gel is a little firm. Slightly beige-colored but a very light, see-thru color when spread on. Just a tiny bit spreads out evenly and smoothly without tugging on delicate eye-area skin. But it is a bit thick and it feels a bit heavy; taking away one star for that. To test it I used a dramatic, sparkly, charcoal-colored eye shadow. Eyeshadow this heavy and pigmented can move and dust and wear off though the evening. Several hours into the evening though, without touchups, the eyeshadow hasn't budged OR creased! This product gets four stars.Setting Spray - I've never tried anything like this before. It's a clear mist; I spritzed it over my face as directed. It feels comfortable and doesn't seem to add any heaviness. I did not detect any fragrance to the spray. Several hours into the evening, it still didn't feel heavy, and it did seem to prevent the fading of my makeup. I didn't find any reason to take away a star so I give it five stars.Everything washed off easily and cleanly without a second wash. So overall I like these products (I really, really like the photo-finish primer!) with the only issue being that the shadow primer was just a little thick and heavy feeling. I hope my detailed review was helpful; I try to give you real information you can actually use!

Loved the products. Blur cream was light and silky and lasts all day. Only need a lil dollop of product to use over entire face .primer for eyes is great. Helps eyeshadow to sustain the pigment and helps it not to feather as the day goes on

Nice kit! I dont love the products (first time i tried them) but great for travel snd was great to sample.

Good set of primers and setting spray. Makeup stayed all day!!!

I have been a Smashbox fan for several years now- I love their oil control primer. This is a great travel set that includes a travel size original primer, travel size setting spray and a full size eye shadow primer. You only need a little bit of each of these products, so they will last a while- especially the eye shadow primer. I need just a smidge of the eyes shadow primer on each eyelid- it does have a slight hue to it. It does help my eye shadow last longer than without using the primer. The face primer is nice and goes on smooth. It creates a nice canvas for my foundation. Like I mentioned, I normally buy the oil control but this seemed to work fine- just needed to blot later in the day to control oil but my skin is very oily and it is summer. If you have dry/ normal skin this I am sure would be even better. I usually prefer a setting powder to a setting spray- this one does not create a fine mist, and it seemed kinda wet on my face so I took off one star, but once it dried it seemed to keep my makeup in place. I may have just gotten a bottle with a bad sprayer.
