Truly the BEST food storage containers! I love these!
If I could design a perfect food storage container, this would be it! In an effort to remove all plastic from my kitchen, I decided to get these because of the GLASS lid (hard to find) and food safe silicone seal. These are perfection! I don't think twice about putting both the top and bottom in the dishwasher. Also, when you press down on the lid to close the container, it blows air out of the open vent hole and creates an airtight seal between the top and bottom. So even if you wanted to take the top off, you can't -- until you release the airlock by lifting the silicone rubber tab that closes the vent hole. This is genius because it is another safety feature to keep the top from accidentally falling off and breaking. The silicone seal does this too, but it's nice to have a back up! The glass is thick and feels very well made. Do not hesitate on these. They are well worth the cost as you will have them for a long time.

The best storage containers I've owned
At first I wasn't sure that I liked these containers. It seemed like the lid wasn't going to stay on tight so I read the directions and was able to do it properly so the lid was nice and tight...yes, read the directions, it helps. I absolutely love that they are dishwasher safe and that the lid is glass as well, most are plastic! They are a nice thick glass so you don't have to worry much about them breaking and the lid is really good quality! I wasn't sure if I would use the bins inside the container but they actually turned out to be great for draining fruits and veggies.I know these are on the pricey side but paying for clean, non plastic items is worth it. I definitely want to get these in other sizes!

Amazing
I’m super surprised to hear negative reviews about this product. Especially the ones with huge cracks that just came from casual use. I get packages being delivered with the occasional crack or even broken. That can happen with any product. But, these?I’ve been using these for over a year now. I throw them in the dishwasher. I use them in the freezer, oven, microwave and I send my husbands lunches in them. He puts them in a toaster oven while over the road. I have never had so much as a nick on any of them. They’re awesome and so pretty.

Finally! A glass storage container that doesn't have a plastic lid!
I have found others that don't have plastic lids, but these are the best I've found. The silicone seal around the glass lid holds very well and is definitely airtight and leakproof -- as long as you close the sealing tab. Easy peasy! The whole thing is dishwasher and microwave safe and the dish is oven safe. Plus the weight is not excessive as some of the others I've looked at are. So, along with my Weck jars that finally have decent silicone lids available and "milk" bottles that have silicone caps available, I'm finally making significant strides to removing plastics from my kitchen. I even bought some of these jars for my sister-in-law! The next thing I'm looking for are reliable canning lids that don't have that plastic liner on them.

not tempered glass, with care they can be useful
due to all the reviews claiming chipping of glass i can only assume this is not a tempered glass. as others have said, the lid is plastic covered with silicone outer rim. to avoid chipping, nested stacking isnt recommended as dings from contacting the other glass will chip. to avoid this i stack with lids on, sandwiching the glass with silicone. and hand wash.other than that, they are pretty. i like how food looks in them, how they stack neatly in the fridge. i wont freeze them. they serve their purpose. to remove lid its best to open the bung hole first as the seal will make it hard to remove the lid. i have reheated food with no problems. the lids take awhile to dry due to the seal.updated reveiwive come to love these containers. i love how neat and tidy they are, and the little burp hole (tip, always unplug it first before removing lid, makes it easy to lift off) i am still careful about reheating and the lids. i dont do extended reheat sessions with the lid, nor do i stack the lids tight on the base when storing, i keep them loosely laid on top of each container. i also do not stack the glass within each other so i have not experienced any chipping. each container is stored with its lid loosely on top. only hand wash. the silicon does stain.

Easy to Use
I wanted to switch out all my plastic so bought these and also bought a ceramic set of containers. These are my favorite over the ceramic ones. The ceramic ones have a very hard time getting the lids off, but these are designed with a lid which you can unlock the air when you open the lid. The ceramic ones are a name brand that I won’t mention, but these were a lot less expensive and much better product. I may have to get another set!

Perfect glass container
If you are looking for a glass container, this is for you!I have used glass container with plastic lid for 5 years and those lids are becoming to have some old plastic smell and dish soap smell. I don't like that smell transfers to rice after using plastic containers and also the glass containers with plastic lids. I love my new glass containers! It doesn't waste space in my small cabinet. Also because the lid is flat, it's stable when you stuck 3 or 4 containers in top. It's easy to seal and open with the vent on the lid. I bought 35oz one and I like the size since I don't have much space in my cabinet. I would love to buy more of 35oz sizes to keep cabinets and fridges organized! I will never go back to the plastic containers 😆

Lasted almost a year
About 6 months in, one dish chipped on the corner. Two months later, the other one just shattered. I remember hitting the first dish against the dishwasher on removal, so that made sense (even though my other glassware is not nearly as fragile). The shattered dish was a complete surprise. The veggies were heated in the microwave two hours earlier. Out of nowhere, we hear this crash and eventually tracked down the source. It just spontaneously split almost in half. At this price point, I'm disappointed and wouldn't recommend. I have felt better about getting rid of the plastic but i'm not looking forward to replacing glass storage every year.
