I'm interested in buying this to store Waba Kinetic Sand for my kids. Can it hold the entire 11 lb box of kinetic sand?

The container could probably hold it all but the kids wouldn't be able to play with it because it would be so full. And really, don't waste your money. I think it was way too expensive for what you get. If I had a chance to rethink spending that much money on a container to hold sand, I would! They sell similar containers for $5 at many stores that would do the job just as well. The lid doesn't really snap on. Was very disappointed!

Can the child sit in it?

This "Sandbox", and I use the term loosely is a "4 litre US Really Useful Box", google that. It's designed to hold paper. Most office supply stores sell then for around $8. Don't buy this. As to your question - if your child can comfortably sit on as 8 1/2 X 11 standard sheet of paper then they'll have no problem sitting in the box.

How much sand does this box hold?

It depends on the type of sand. It would likely hold 20 lbs of play sand, and 1--12 lbs of moon sand and kinetic sand.
