Nice quality metal -- good size
This sign is marketed as a wall mount, but when we saw that both sides of the metal plate are equally nice, we changed our plans and went for a pole-mount, instead. The addresses on our very short street are not at all consistent. The numbers will increase by two, then suddenly by 100 (or another random number). Deliveries are constantly made to the wrong houses. To help with that, we put our house number on both sides of this plate, drove two stakes into the ground, and screwed the plate onto those stakes. We installed it perpendicular to the street, so now people coming from either direction can easily see our house number. So far, we have had no misdelivered packages. Hoping that continues! The only negative I came across was that the number zero didn't want to come off of the backing. The paper would come up with the number, regardless of which sheet I used. Problem solved by using a fine-tipped tweezers to separate the edges of that particular number.

House numbers
The numbers are a bit thin. It looks good though once we put them on. Good for the price.

Flimsy numbers are difficult to install.
I just retrimmed the outside around our entrance door and needed new address numbers. I picked this product because it looked modern and attractive. The kit consists of a painted steel background sheet and four sets of vinyl adhesive backed numbers 0 to 9. There are also two silver screws. The vinyl material is very, very thin and this was a problem. On the plus side, this product is inexpensive and If you aren't a perfectionist, you can quickly get some address numbers affixed to your house. There are some downsides that I have to share.I have a lot of experience installing adhesive labels, tape, etc over the years. In fact I have two label makers I use routinely. Normally I use the tip of a knife to separate the label from the backing and then manipulate it to get it square before setting it. The straight edges make it fairly easy to line up. You just set one end of it lightly and then pivot the label up or down as needed before setting the rest.In this instance, the label material really works against you. It is so thin that it sags under its own weight and this is aggravated further by static attraction between the label and the metal backing plate. As soon as you get the label close it literally reaches out and sticks to the plate before you are ready to position. There are no straight edges to work with either.Repositioning after a mistake is next to impossible without stretching or tearing, again due to the thinness. Depending on the digits used, you may have extras you can try again with.If you're going to do this right, take the time to measure and layout positioning marks on the background plate for both spacing and squareness. I tried eyeballing it and while it looked decent. It wasn't great.I think I may just get some better adhesive numbers at the local hardware. I'll also try and find some black screws since the ones they provide don't match.

Cheap stickers
The metal backing seems good quality but the cheap number stickers don’t stay on

Simple. No Surprises. All good here.
All I wanted this plaque to be is what it claimed to be, and that's what it is. It is simple, easily installed, and not heavy but quite adequately sturdy. All the edges are smooth, and the paint job is very good. It is a bit shorter than the product page says, at 3" x 14" (13.75" not including the tabs for the holes). It would be possible to squeeze in 5 numbers vertically - more than 5 and horizontal is the only way to go. I'm not crazy about the white vinyl stickers, which is too bad because this came with 4 sets of them, lol. They are thin and flexible, about 1 3/8" wide x 2 3/8" tall. It takes some dexterity to get them on straight, but they stick securely, and are easily readable from 50+ feet. They're just stickers... the plaque is the same on both sides, so I could leave the white vinyl on there and just turn it over, should I decide to get creative with our house numbers later.

Black Metal Plate with White Vinyl Numbers
Black coated metal plate that measures a total of 14-1/8" long in total length and 3-1/4" wide. It comes with two 1" screws and anchors, and 4 sheets (each sheet has the #'s 0-9, so a set of 4 of each #) and the letters are a white vinyl sticker and easy to remove from the sheet. You'd be able to fit at least a maximum of 7-8 #s on it. The metal seems sturdy but I noticed that there is a bend in the plate that I got and a few tiny scratches behind the bump where it looks like the metal was pressed against the screws, otherwise I would have given 5 stars. The black paint looks good and professional. I think that the plate would also be good as a name plate if you wanted to buy or make letters instead.

Poor design to apply numbers. Numbers very thin and hard to place on sign.
I can not recommend this sign kit. The metal plate is sturdy with a nice matte finish. However, there are no marks or provided element to help you space and align the numbers as you put them on the sign. You get 4 sheets of the numbers 0 through 9. You peal the numbers off to stick them to the sign. The numbers are so thin and flimsy that placing them on the sign in a straight, smooth position is impossible for me. I measured out the spacing I wanted for the numbers and where I wanted them on the metal plate. I went through all 4 of the 3’s trying to get one on there that was straight and didn’t have a crinkled up portion. Placing a 5 on the sign was more difficult. I would spend more for a sign that is better designed with numbers that are easier to apply.
