DecoArt Patio Paint Self-Adhesive Stencils, 6 by 8-Inch, Spice of Life

A group of us made cute out of leftover lath pieces using this stencil. Would buy again if I could find additional herb names. These letters were not too tall, a failing of other stencils I located. Used unstained cedar lath for some, then coated raw pine with autumnal shades of paint for others. Sealed both with a couple of clear coats prior to stenciling for improved results. Used either black or white paint for the stenciled words with a very small stencil brush. My favorite combo was black stencils on cedar, but all combos were great. The words with the thinnest letters stenciled well - example: thyme, but the wider cut letters - example: parsley came out a bit blobby. The differences in width were subtle but significant to the final product quality. So, I downgraded the stencils from 5 to 4 for that reason only. Overall, a great product in a hard to find genre.

These were nice to go on some mason jar wine glasses. The medium and large worked great, but the smaller words were an epic fail. I tried chalk paint and acrylic, and neither were clean when I pulled them off.

The only reason I did not give this 5 stars is because it doesn't have a cilantro stencil. Other than that it is very nice.
