lovely design
These are beautiful french country style chairs. I was surprised at how lightweight they feel for how solid they look. They were fairly simple to assemble. it took me about 30 minutes to put 2 chairs together myself. These chairs, like all of the Designed by Ashley pieces I have are just BIG pieces of furniture, almost 'dwarfing' my other furniture. Don't get me wrong - they're still beautiful pieces ... just big.

FANTASTIC
Super easy to assemble (it helps to have someone sit in them while you do a final tightening of the bolts, then they are perfectly level to the floor). At this price they were 10x nicer than anything we saw at local furniture stores. One VERY minor blemish, called the customer support phone number- no wait - problem solved. 100% RECOMMENDED

Lovely chairs when they arrive in one piece
Lovely chairs that match my table exactly. I ordered 3 sets of two. They were delivered by USPS (oddly enough) and one of the boxes was damaged plus both chairs inside that box were broken, one the top back was broken in half and the other was broken in half on both sides. I am not taking any stars off for the shipping damage because the chairs that I got which were good are excellent. Shipping mishaps are not the fault of the manufacturer though I don't understand why they shipped these USPS because that shipper is not very reliable on larger items.Oh well. I returned the broken box and am getting a replacement next week, so all is good.

Well worth it!
I was leery spending money on furniture sight unseen. But I am BEYOND thrilled with these chairs. I bought a secondhand table w/only four chairs. After my usual extensive research on options and specs, I decided to order two sets of these chairs. They are not an exact match to what I have, but the style compliments them. They were easy to put together, definitely easier with two of us but one person CAN do it. The upholstery is a nice neutral that will blend well with browns/beiges or grays. They are comfortable to sit on, the back is supportive, and they're sturdy without being too heavy. I have "sizable" people that will be sitting on them when family gathers and am comfortable knowing that these chairs won't collapse under them. Overall - I am really happy with this purchase!

Beautiful chairs—bad packing mismatched chair and return
I absolutely love these chairs. However, buyer beware! They sent me a box which had one ladder back and one round back. I called Amazon, and Amazon said to call Ashley. Ashely tells me that they can’t exchange the chair until after a month. So, I have one mismatched chair, and I’m trying to figure out who can fix it…. I’m going to try Amazon again. I would really like the set I paid for—simple fix. Amazon and Ashley complicate unnecessarily.
