is it only for new cars?

not necessarily. used cars can use this too but you have to make sure your paint is clean. This product is a SEALANT and Protectant. you always want to wash the car, dry it, clay bar the paint, paint correct any issues then finally apply Ceramic coating to seal in your hard work.

What product do you use to maintain this coating?

Most will just use a good car wash soap to clean and a microfiber towel to dry. Sonax sells a recharging product that is supposed to extend the life of the coating and it is used few months. I personally use an anti static shine enchancer from kenotek after I wash and dry Many say that waxing is unnecessary once you have a ceramic coat

is it scratch protective ?

No ceramic coating is scratch protective. Light marring will be in the coating but actual scratches will get through a coating. Some coatings are self heailing but those are for very fine marring in the coating.
