Q: as the description states the beans are processed does this mean this product is not concidered Raw?

Technically speaking, there is no such thing as 'raw' cacao powder as all cacao beans need to be roasted at a sufficient temperature to remove any bacteria and bring out the chocolate flavour. Without any form of heat treatment, pathogens and bacteria will not be killed and may remain active in the cacao. As Aduna Super-Cacao is roasted very lightly and over a long period of time, it is as natural and ‘raw’ as can be.

Q: Why don’t you tell us exactly how much flavanol in a teaspoon of your cocoa. Bet it’s not full of flavanols judging by the colour of your cocoa.

All I know is I love this cacao - it’s my favourite one. Love the rich flavour and the health benefits. If you’re interested in finding out more about it maybe email Aduna directly? I always like to research my supplements etc. But apparently the flavanol content is twice that of regular cacao powder. That’s good enough for me. It’s also the 1st to be scientifically proven and verified by the EFSA (European Food Safety Authority) to support heart health - because of its high content. I sound like an ad! But I’m not - I just love cacao and this one is the best I’ve tried.

All I can say is that the Baobab Superfruit Powder expires May 2022. Same brand different product , but should give you some guidance. Sorry I no longer have the Cacao.
