Worked well
My new pickup was delivered a few weeks ago and looked great until a couple of rain showers revealed that the dealership’s detail shop had gotten paste wax all over the plastic trim. It looked like a crime scene that had been sprayed with Luminol. The dealer refused to remove it, and I knew from past experience this is very tough to get off, so I decided to order a bottle. Twenty minutes after I took it out of the box, my truck looked new again. Some areas required a second application, but eventually all the paste wax smears were gone while only using a small amount of product. I’m glad to have this in my car cleaning inventory. Thanks Chemical Guys!

Great product. TRICK: Wipe completely dry while still wet. More details in review.
So happy I found this product. A friend waxed my gal's car, and waxed all the pebble textured plastic too, leaving it a huge streaky white mess over large areas. Tried some other detail products which did not take it all off. This worked very well. The trick I discovered is the product dissolves the wax, but you also have to WIPE the wax away while the product is still wet. It is not a wipe on and mostly leave on product. That means: 1) Don't keep using the same part of the wet cloth you apply it with, as it will carry wax. 2) Wipe completely dry while the product is wet on the plastic, which will carry off the wax. If you let it dry, the wax will still remain. Therefore, do not attempt to treat large areas at one time. Hold it to about a square foot. Before I learned this, I had to do multiple passes to get the wax off and have it looking nice and even. Once I figured this out, I usually didn't have to do more than two passes. Also, I did not have to use a brush. Simple course microfiber cloth was used both for applying and drying. It does require medium rubbing effort, but not real hard. Circular motions are good for applying and loosening wax.

Works Well
Bought this to try and remove water spots and buildup caused by car washes on my 04 Honda Pilots handles. It worked! I sprayed a bit on a microfiber cloth then scrubbed at part of the handle then wiped it dry with another microfiber cloth. I did this until I scrubbed down the whole handle, let it dry then did the whole process another time to make sure I really got it clean. I'm surprised how well the buildup came up! It didn't take a lot of the cleaner to do 4 handles so one bottle should be plenty for all the trim on a whole car.

Does not remove wax stains
Does not remove wax stains from flat or textured trim. I had better results with a light degreaser

It works, but needs a lot of help!
I use a lot of Chemical Guys products on my vehicles over the years. Most of them are more than satisfactory. This particular item does what it says it will do, but not really. I bet you are looking for a product to easily remove the wax you got on your plastic trim, fender flare or bumper. Well, this works, only if you do the following as a prerequisite. First, use a regular square eraser to rub the area. Yes, rubber eraser from your kids' school supply. It works very effectively at removing heavy wax on your plastic trim. Then get yourself a nice nylon brush, I got a brush head attachment for a electric drill. Spray this product on the trim that has been "erased", and scrub it with the brush. Wipe off with a microfiber cloth and wait for it to dry. Once its dried, repeat with the eraser for the spots missed and then re-brush again. Yes, it's a PIA!!! and you have to use a lot of elbow grease! I got wax all over my SUV, on the fender flares, on the running boards, on the bumpers, you name it, it got wax on it. It took me 2 days to clean it all off this way. But unfortunately this is the only way to do it as there is no magic solution that's an easy wipe off. Overall this product works very well at cleaning the plastic trims in preparation for dressing or refinishing. Lesson learned, don't ever wax your plastic trims!

It did not work for a year old wax residue.
Tried on my rav4 plastic trim a year old white wax marks , waste of time and money.I tried spray the microfiber and rubbed lot of time no result, I even tried to keep toilet paper on the wax mark and spray it so it stays on. Waited for hours and try to clean it did not remove the wax marks. I do not recommend it.

No more wax and compound white stains
It took it right off. I do suggest spraying this once on all trims to remove all contamination and after wax when you spray be careful if the wax is still fresh. But if you have the time to wax or polish your car you will be ok using this carefully to remove any stains.

THIS WORKS! IGNORE THE BAD REVIEWS!
This stuff works! I don’t know where all the bad reviews are coming from??? You do have to use a fingernail brush or toothbrush to scrub it in and rub a little bit. I waxed my car several months ago with a wax that I thought could be used on plastic. I did not even try to avoid the trim. This gives you an idea of how much wax residue was all over my black plastic trim. Then I was too lazy to figure out how to get it off so I left it bake in the North Carolina sun for the entire summer. UGH! This is October and since the weather was a little cooler today I was motivated to try to use this product and get the white off of my trim. I put it on the trim with a fingernail brush and rubbed it off with a microfiber cloth and it was gone! There were one or two places that I had to go back and do a second time because they were really bad. This stuff is excellent! My car looks so good again!
