If i turn the light on with the switch and then unplug it, does it turn back on when plugged in?

No. It does not. Unplugging it or turning off the switch resets the light off.

The unit died 90 days after purchase. will not turn-on anymore. how do i get a replacement? or did i just lose my money and have to replace it myself?

I contacted the company through their website and after a bit of troubleshooting they sent me a replacement at no cost.

Is this light really worth over $50?

I thought so. Great style. Great lighting. Awesome all around. I sill use my 12.99 old traditional desk clamp light to balance warm and cool light. But I love this light.
