Difficult to install.
This is a great item for the cost. Very difficult to install. You can watch videos that show how to put it together because the instructions are useless. There are two ways you can put this on your truck. You can use the riv-nuts or you can bolt it to the roof. Riv Nuts you will need a Rivnut tool to install them. Or to bolt it to the roof you will need to remove the headliner from inside the truck. Im pretty mechanically inclined and this took me 7 hours to install from start to finish. I ended up buying new hardware because what was included didn't make any sense. The mounting plates that are supposed to go inside I didn't end up using. There are two cross bars on the underside of the roof to be mindful of. There is one right behind the windshield that made the brackets unusable and another one near the rear. I ended up getting new bolts, washers, lock washers and nuts. I used Riv nuts on the front most bolts because you couldn't access the underside of them due to the cross bar. This will require you to drill holes through the roof of your truck. You better feel real confidant in what your doing before you start this project, or have in professionally installed. I read some people said to use some silicone to seal around the footings of the rack and on top of the bolts on top. Haven't had it leak at all. The thing is solid. Ive held 2 kayaks on it to without issue using J bars. Some people also say the cross pieces seem kind of flimsy for kayaks. This might be true if you put one on them in the center of the beam. If you put them on it toward the outside they are solid. This review is kind of all over the place so I hope you found it useful.

Good, but things you need to know.
One thing that caught me by surprise was the tubes are metal flake grey. Not a big deal because it is not overdone, or even all that noticeable from a distance. But metal-flake colors dies in the 1980's.The front brace creates A LOT of wind noise. The only way I was able to dampen the noise was to mount it as far back is it will go. Even then, there was more road noise than I ever had without the roof rack. It is tolerable though, just be aware of this, and mount the front brace as far back it it will go.

DYi, no real instructions
Hope you have the kind of mind to figure stuff out. No real instructions. Fit my truck (2016 Frontier crew cab) Nothing like drilling 16 holes in a perfectly good roof!!
