I feel like I start every third review I write this way but here goes: I live in a small townhouse that I rent. I actually have no overhead lighting in my living room. None. I have light switches that are attached to plugs. I deal with it. Lamps, extention cords and smart plugs. Recently my husband and I have become more and more aware of what a weird, dark little corner the "foyer" (or corner where the front door opens and the stairs are) is. It allowed for it to become, frankly, a little dirty. I did a little research and a plug in pendant light seemed the way to go. As soon as it came in I tested it, finding that it functioned fine. Then I went to the hardware store to buy a slightly nicer drywall hook, cable staples and a glass shade. I thought the shade would be difficult to find because of size but everything that I looked at fit perfectly. There is a bit of plastic that screws off, you put on the shade and then screw the bit back on to secure it. No issues with size at all. While the cord does have a switch on it I've decided to instead plug this into a smart plug and leave Alexa in charge. If I have any complaints, I should have measured better and gotten a slightly longer cord but that is no one's fault but my own.

These are great. I have a small room with no floor space for lamps. I saw these in the Ikea catalog with lamp shades I already had...they looked so smart. Yet, the thought of the 4 hour round trip to Ikea left me wanting to nap. No amount of meatballs could motivate me. When I found this light cord with an on and off switch at such great price on par with Ikea minus the crowds, lines and drive. Came quickly, went up easily, accepted the Ikea lampshade with no problem and looks great. Good quality. Very happy.

This cord & switch were perfect for my do-it-yourself UVC lamp sterilizing project. Just ran the cord to a box, screwed a UVC lamp into the socket, closed the box and I was good to go. The long cord also allowed me to turn ON & OFF the lamp without the risk of being to close to it. Only tiny down side was the fact that the switch does not have any marking to let you know which position is ON or OFF. So I had to test it first with a regular bulb, then mark the OFF position with a permanent marker, so that way I know when the UVC lamp is safely OFF before to open my box.

These lights are great! I got them to use in an apartment since there was no lighting in the bedroom. They don't weigh anything, so I was able to screw them directly into the drywall without having to try to find a stud in a popcorn ceiling. I haven't been able to find a lampshade I like yet, but I think I'm going to fashion a diamond shape one out of thin copper pipes. I also really like the location of where the light switch is on the cord. I have it plugged in to an outlet that is near my bed, which is operated by a wall switch so I can turn it on when I walk in the room, and I can turn the light off/on from the cord without getting out of bed. This is really a great option for people not looking for a permanent lighting solution or if you like the industrial/exposed look (which could really look great with some creativity I don't have the time for)!

I utilized this cord set for something else and will now need to order another. I ordered this pendant lamp for a project I am working on. My daughter needs a lamp, she also needs a smoke alarm in her apt in New Orleans, where the property owners don't have to adhere to any relevant safety standards in the property they lease out. I am willing to see if I can add some security to my daughters safety, as the apt was recently painted and the landlord does not want anything screwed into the interior walls or ceiling. My project will include a smoke alarm at the top of the lamp stand to house the pendant cord and the smoke alarm. The design is in progress. Hope I get it done soon. This cord set is about perfect for this project and I hope it provides a useful lamp and the smoke alarm. the 15 foot cord will allow the necessary length for the Pendant to stand up tall enough for the battery operated smoke alarm to be near the ceiling and the lamp hang down at an adjustable height necessary for her needs. Here goes, as it got here. If the cord set for the ceiling pendant lamp shade works out well, I may revisit this review and upgrade the stars to a higher number, if really necessary.

This shipped to me very fast and was in perfect condition. I bought two so I could convert two former track lights into hanging lamps. It was so easy to install each, took less than 4 minutes to do each one. I haven't hung them as yet so I don't have a finished picture yet. Hopefully I can update my review at a later time. Ok more about the cord itself, I bought the 15' cords and they have a switch built in the cord which was cool but I plan to have them plugged into an outlet that is controlled by the light switch. The whole assembly seems to me to be very sturdy, the cable is about the same size around as your cable for the TV. I do recommend the seller, great product and so fast, KUDOS :)

I bought two of these mainly to hang some plant lights over my plants in the kitchen window. I used to have a regular lamp that I would position on a very tall stack of boxes (which would occasionally fall down), but then realized I could hang lights over the plants versus precariously on a stack of boxes. You are provided two hooks that you screw into your ceiling, and you can lead the lamp cord from them. There are two white plastic hook things, but I'm unsure what you do with those; I presume they help in holding your lamp cord as well. You have the option of adding a lamp shade, but for my needs, I just needed to screw in plant LED bulbs. There is thankfully an on/off switch you can press, instead of having to plug/unplug any cords. This is a good and affordable option for those that want lightweight ceiling lamps that aren't a permanent fixture. Recommended.
