Love it!
Love this rolling pin. Perfect for my amateurish pastries and breads while also looking just so nice in the kitchen. Almost a year together and it looks good as new.

First wooden rolling pin -- NICE!
Wow, why did it take me so long to figure out that a wooden rolling pin is the way to go? I've been using plastic (!!) for way too many years. I like the weight of this in my hands. It feels perfect -- easy to use and roll. Not too heavy and not too light. It's also *beautiful* to look at. It really is a beautiful kitchen tool. I like the tapered ends, as well. It's ergonomic and makes rolling pie crusts so easy. I highly recommend this -- you won't regret your purchase.

Not just functional - almost an object d'art
I've always wanted a french rolling pin, and finally decided to get one. While many are made of a lighter wood, when I saw this walnut version, I was sold. And it didn't disappoint in person. Very smooth, well made in the U.S. It's a nice long size, too, and versatile in that you can have hands on both ends, or just one hand on either end. That's more a function of a french rolling pin, not just this one. But this is a work of art. I applied mineral oil right when I got it, which brought out the grain. I will use a food grade was from now on. It's worth the extra money.

Beautiful and Functional
Beautiful. Works well. I’ve had to oil it 2-3 x already, the wood is a little rough, so I hope it smooths out with use and more sesame seed oil.

This thing is pretty nice
I use this to make pastry doughs at work because our chef left and the French rolling pin was his. His is bigger which at the time I didn't know, however I got used to the smaller size and it works well for me. It fits perfectly in my knife roll because of this. It rolls nice and it's comfortable and easy to use, it's tricky to clean the ends and the logo if you half ark it I usually scrub lightly and spray twice. It's very light but sturdy. I would recommend if you'd like something smaller than a typical rolling pin if you can work with it, if not, see if it comes in a bigger size.

100% as good as it looks
This is a pure, high-quality walnut French pastry rolling pin, with a nice heft to it. A little bit heavier than your typical skinny French pastry rolling pin (I also have one of those--which is great for some things), which you sometimes want. I like having this in my arsenal alongside a marble rolling pin and the skinnier standard pastry roller. But this one is also just nice to take out of the drawer and admire once in a while. It immediately looks like you know what you're doing.

three stars
I like the weight and feel but a French rolling pin should be even in diameter through the center 9" min then taper on the ends. This pin is tapered from the center out making and even roll challenging. . Too bad. Very disappointed.
