This is a miracle worker!
First of all, the price is amazing!! I use this not only for making a sandwich, I use it to makes steaks, chicken and pork chops instead of putting them on the grill. There is just my husband and i and it makes it so convenient to cook something up inside instead of having to fire up the grill and use so much propane!! Also it takes 2 minutes to clean, is compact and takes up little space as well as cooks things perfectly and fast!! Highly recommend!!

Best grilled cheese ever
It is great for grilled cheese, quesadillas, and even meat. The grandkids say Pap makes the best grilled cheese ever. We use it for a lot of different things. It's easy to clean and easy to use. It takes no room to store. It heats evenly and works great.

Best value for the cost
For the price, best one you can buy. I've only used it twice so far so I can't yet speak to it durability but so far so good. No temp control and as others have stated, the light is absolutely useless for anything other then knowing when the heating element is on. The latch is somewhat helpful, but only on one side. The unit is unstable when pushing on the handle hard so look out. No power switch so don't leave it plugged in.I have so far cooked grilled cheese to perfection but more importantly have cooked bacon and scrambled eggs on it no problem, made some delicious breakfast tacos that I then assembled and pressed for a portable breakfast snack. Unit is very versatile if you have a good imagination.PROS: Heats fast, small, versatile, inexpensive.CONS: Only one latch, grill plate only on top side, unstable press, no power switch. The cons are everything I'd expect from a low cost unit. Only one grill plate doesn't bother me as I don't have x-ray vision and can see the bottom of my food when it's on the plate anyway. Plus, not having grill plate on the bottom allowed me to cook bacon and eggs and I presume things like pancakes and French toast in the future using it as a griddle.

Wonderful little Sandwhich Maker, Grill + more
Love, love LOVE this little Chef Buddy. It’s fantastic. Makes the best grilled cheese. Melts the cheese perfectly, and toast the bread better than ever expected. Have also made hash browns, grilled veggies, etc in it. Purchased, then RE-Purchased to have an extra on hand “in case” ever got discontinued or gives ou. Loved it so much, i Purchased a 3rd & 4th for gifts. My friends lived it too. Unable to recommend highly enough. 20 million stars, yes!

Very small and super cheap
This press is perfect if all you want to do is make small grill cheese sandwiches and dont have any other way of doing so. I'm not sure where they get their dimensions listed on the sales page but I have the actual dimensions in the provided images.I made a Reuben, a small one, and when I pressed the lid closed the entire machine pitched forward and ejected the contents on the counter in front of me. After putting it back, I found that I had to hold the press down the entire time since it was too small to use the latch. It did heat the sandwich thoroughly and it was easy to clean but this is not the press for me.

Just decent
Man, I love paninis. But most of the panini presses available seemed to be overpriced or too big to store away easily in between panini cravings. So I got this one. It seemed like a nice bargain.Well... it kind of is, but leaves a lot to be desired. It does work, and it can make a passable panini. But it requires extra effort. The "griddle" is tiny, so if you like your panini nice and crispy with those grill marks, then you'll need to struggle with the latch- wedging it bit by bit until it closes. It has no ON/OFF switch, so it just plugs in and powers on. I have a bit of experience with electrical projects, so that makes me a bit nervous. If you were like me: strapped for cash but craving that sweet, sweet panini crunch, then this press will do the job. But if you understand the MAJESTY of a great panini with some chips... then I think you might want to spend like $10 more for something slightly nicer.
