Fabulous for reading in bed!
I've only had this stand since yesterday, but it's just superb! I prefer to read in bed whilst lying down, on my side, which isn't the easiest position to hold a book in place, and this little bag absolutely fits the bill. The elasticated perspex plate holds the book firmly in place, allowing me to read, hands-free, at a 25-30 degree angle. The plate simply tilts forwards to allow you to turn the pages, then snaps back into position. The elastic is long enough to accommodate thicker/larger books, and the tension can be adjusted to hold the side with less pages nice and tight. The only possible improvement that I can think of is if the little black plastic bead that regulates the elastic tension could be made smaller, and perhaps a button or peg under the front seam to hold the excess elastic out of the way. I was unsure about the price when I first viewed this online, but it's worth every penny and I'll definitely be back to buy more as gifts!

Superb
Holds a book well and is superb for anyone who loves reading. This is my second purchase of a book seat, the first one has gone everywhere with me for the past four years and used it daily as I love reading but find it difficult to hold a book/ kindle for long periods due to arthritis. I am only buying a replacement because some of the polystyrene balls have now disintegrated over time. I wouldn’t be without my bookseat I love it. Great quality, fantastic and so useful, especially for an avid reader.

A great buy
I didn’t know what to expect. Although the dimensions were stated, this came as a surprise - it’s small and compact, light and easy to balance. You can read hands-free, apart from turning the pages, without any strain at all. I’ve held back a star because the elasticated grip which is used to adjust the plastic bookend is in such a position that it reduces how far you can lower a book or kindle into the bookend. This means it’s not suitable for the thickest paperbacks and hardbacks as they tend to topple out. I’m delighted I bought it however - no more cramping hands.

Works really well
this works really well as it is comfortable to rest on one's lap as well as the armchair or table, The page holder works very well (once I realised it pulls forward and up in order to fit different sized books). The pouch at the back is a nice touch to hold specs etc. Cheaper models on the market but this is worth the extra for the well-thought out design.

Great book seat
Helps save my wrists for heavy books. I don’t use the plastic bit though

A bit fiddly to use
I thought this would be good for reading in bed, so I could sit up and prop it up in front of me. The trouble is, I tend to read quite thick books, and I find it difficult to use the plastic bar that's supposed to hold the book open. The side of the book with the most pages tends to keep springing out. Also, and maybe this wouldn't happen with a very thin book, I find it difficult to read the text at the inside edges of the pages because the plastic bar doesn't hold the book as flat as you would do with your hand. Then when you want to turn the page, you have to release the pressure on the bar to get the page free, manoeuvre it over carefully to the other side behind the bar, then tighten the bar again. Quite a faff to be honest.

Brilliant!
The book seat is not my go to as I don't mind reading while holding my book. However, whenever I feel like my hands need a rest or I'm just feeling tired it comes to the rescue.I'm looking forward to taking it with me abroad, it will be prefect for the aeroplane. It's pretty good quality and does certainly hold bigger books. However, using with a paperback book with more than 600+ pages and it will be slightly less ergonomic to use. This is not really a problem as I tend to read books under that page count.Overall if you're on the fence about it and actually want to rest your hands, go for it! Turning pages is no hassle compared to holding a book.

Works very well! Great product.
As I suffer from a lung disease, my lying position in bed is very restricted. As a result,my book reading has been suffering.I purchased this in a desperate attempt to solve the issue, and it did sobetter than I'd hoped! My wife, who is perfectly healthy tried it and said it's a massive improvement on holding the book while lying down. She wants one too!!
