Barbie and I are 50
The packaging is nice, Barbie is pretty, the whole presentation is good. I bought it because it is the 50 year release and Barbie and I are both 50. I managed to get it the first week at the 50 year price of $3.00 however I would like to have a couple more for my neices but don't mind paying a fair price for them later. It is a cute remake of an older doll and I still think Barbie is a great girl gift. I played with mine forever.

Barbie and I were born in the same year!
I'm having a reunion of some high school pals this March and bought 6 of these Barbies to put in their goodie bags - Why you ask - well Barbie is the same age as we are! Yes, if she had went to high school she would have been in our class. How fun is that. So, I recommend to anyone born in 1959 - buy this doll - put in on display and let the world know you and Barbie are the same age.
