MXKTA Reusable Mesh Produce Bags, f, 12 pcs

I used the mesh bags for purchasing produce instead of using plastic bags. The mesh bags are generously sized and the drawstring has a clamp so they stay closed. They Are of good quality. I know the promo says you can wash the produce while it’s in the mesh bag but I like to be sure that everything is washed all over so I didn’t do that. Maybe for apples or other smooth items, but broccoli or leaf lettuce, not so much. I stored broccoli in the mesh bag in the fridge for a few days and it got limp which is why I didn’t give the product 5 stars. Before I cooked the broccoli, I had to cut the bottoms off and stand it in water and put it back in the fridge overnight so it would crisp up. So the bags don’t work as well for me for washing produce in the mesh bag or storing the produce in the fridge and therefore I gave it 3 stars. But if you’re going to use them for storage of toys or other non perishable items or use in packing for a trip they would be great. I will probably do that with the larger bags, but I bought them to use for produce and reduce the use of plastic bags.

This would have received 5 stars except for two of the bags. Two inches of one bag's white fabric was not caught inside the red nylon casing. I could slip my fingers into the gap. The other bag had a part of the white fabric folded along the edge before it was inserted into the green casing. As a result, I could see the edge sticking out of the green casing. Since I am a seamstress, I suppose I could take these two bags slightly apart and fix the problems before resewing the casings. I should not have to do that, though.

I have ordered packages of these bags for my friends (all over 70). I am telling them to share the bags with their children. I am "saving the planet" by eliminating the use of plastic bags for produce. Oh, and these can double as lingerie bags. These are terrific!

These are a great replacement for grabbing those flimsy plastic bags provided by the grocer. I can load up the largest bag with large baking potatoes, or choose a small one for loose berries or mushrooms. Grapes fit easily into the medium. The drawstring keeps everything secured into the bag and no twist ties to deal with. The cashier loves them. I like that I’m not adding to the plastic heading into the landfill.

I ordered these right after returning home from grocery shopping and realizing how many produce bags I threw away. So far, they are durable and lightweight. They are also sooo much better for the environment! Even the checkout cashier was impressed!

This makes it easy for me to be environmentally conscious. Easy.
