Sheep in a Shop: A Fun Rhyming Story About Birthday Shopping for a Special Present (Sheep in a Jeep)

We're in love with these sheep! I think we have all the sheep books. We've read them a thousand times and they've lasted for years. It's an easy story to follow and the pictures are fun. Buy all the sheep books!

Another terrific installment of the Sheep In A Jeep series. The first book was a favorite of both of my kids when they were little, and I went looking for it as a birthday gift for another family member. Delighted to find that there are more! Bright cheery pictures, and the simple story is amusing for parents and engaging for toddlers, who will be reciting it along with you after just a few readings.

This cute little board book is one of a little series about these sheep. My first Nancy Shaw book was Sheep on a Ship, and it was beautifully illustrated, poetic and rythmic. I fell in love with these sheep books; I also have Sheep in a Jeep and Sheep Trick or Treat. I would like to get Sheep out to Eat and Sheep Take a Hike. Sheep in a Shop is one of the most memorable ones, with sheep flying planes from one page to another. As you watch sheep shop awkwardly for a birthday present, they get to the register and there is a problem! They solve the problem only a way sheep could solve the problem, and they go to the party in uplifted spirits. It is fun to sit with my son and find the mice on the pages too. There is a mouse on almost every page to find. In Sheep on a Ship, it is a seagull.

Wonderful series for kids

My son LOVES the Sheep books. They're easy to read along with and the sheep are always pulling crazy antics. We started with Sheep in a Jeep and are one by one buying the rest because he loves them so much. He says "the sheep are soooo funny!" The rhyming verses are great and the sheep are always problem-solving (although sometimes their attempts are misguided). Great books for toddlers & preschoolers.

It is a very cute book! The easter bunny is bringing it to my toddler. I only wish I had looked at the dimensions prior to ordering because it is a different size (smaller) from our 'Sheep in a Jeep'!

This is such a cute book! My grandkids love it and so do I. My little 1st grader loves reading this and the other "Sheep" books by Nancy Shaw to her little brother. Cute pictures, funny little story line, and just the right length for little readers. I plan on getting all of Nancy Shaw's "Sheep" books.

I love books that rhyme and I love cute illustrations. This book has both. There is a series of them and I have many (but not all). My grandchildren like them.

Sheeps go to the shop to buy some things for a birthday party. The pick what they want and finally do a barter system and exchange wool for the goods when they don't have enough money to pay for it. Nice simple board book. Very suitable for smaller children. The illustrations are lively and nice too! I would recommend for children below 3 years old. Good cheerful story

Of the sheep books, this is our favourite! The rhyming is great and the illustrations are so funny, when was the last time you saw a tattoo on anyone in a children's board book? (Check the pig's shoulder as they help the sheep out of the mud.)
