an Ally Among Obstacles 😌
This model really shines against the early Bose CineMate model it replaced. It's certainly been fun hearing the intricacies in sound design previously muddled out of modern classics, e.g. Breath of the Wild. I've yet to supplement with the subwoofer, but my overall excitement for such an improvement has me in no rush to do so (most certainly it will happen someday). If you're looking for a permanent, concise audio solution for your everyday TV use, I highly recommend this beast of a bar. The low-maintenance nature of the device, namely the automatic power-up on receipt of signal, is just the cherry on top of a balanced product that, while NOT for audiophiles, covers all the bases and does well to not play an obstacle as you integrate your smart home. Bravo.

Great part of a home theater and whole house system
I'd been looking at this unit for about a year. I bought mine at Costco when it was on sale around Christmas time. BTW it is currently on sale in August/2020.This unit was a big bite financially but well worth the money. I pair this with two Sonos 1 speakers to give a full surround sound effect. I have owned other sound bars and none compare to this one. The effect is this immense full sound effect that is similar to being in the theater. Voices are clearly understood. I have truly enjoyed the Sonos system for a number of years now starting with the Sonos 1 speakers. Clearly this entire system is a game changer with respect to music, TV or whatever you need for a sound system. The software for Sonos is well developed and mature. You will have access to all the of the music apps like Apple Music, or Pandora. The Sonos system can be used to fill your whole house with speakers wherever you want music. All you have to do is add another Sonos speaker. I have the sound bar and 4 speakers. One sound bar and two rear speakers for home theater. I have another speaker in the sun-room/kitchen and another on the deck. They are very easy to hook up and install. Each room can have it's own volume control or music station. You use a software app that you down load to phone to control volume or change music. I use my TV or Cable remote to control volume for the home theater using a supplied optical able. It could not be easier. I consider this a wise long term investment. This is not something you will grow out of in a couple of years. Every component is solid built. I plan to add a Sonos bass speaker in the future, though the sound is great as it is. Feel free to let me know if you have any questions about the system or setup.

Cut seals and packing tape.
May be new as described, however factory seals were cut and packing tape, so may be refurbed, who knows? If something is listed as new it should be received in factory sealed conditions. Just my $.02

Terrible Experience - Faked me out
Really disappointed. You have to use the SONOS App to install this thing, but the App instructions are not correct...it doesn't tell you what to interconnect and when. It doesn't even explain the lights on the unit (turns out there is a light that can be white, green, or red, and can also be steady or blinking)...as a result I couldn't even determine if the stupid thing was on or off.Anyway, I'm using this with a new TCL Roku television. Long story short is that the remote provided with the television (the Roku remote...that is the only remote provided) will NOT work with the Sonos. It turns out that the Sonos will ONLY work with IR remote controllers (older technology). The TCL Roku remote is an RF remote. The kicker is that there is NOTHING on the box to indicate this issue. I couldn't find anything online that suggested it either. When I finally got Sonos tech support on the line on Monday (they aren't available on the weekend), we figured it out right away. They guy suggested that I could go purchase a universal remote. HAH! What! The Sonos is going back to Costco.Very disappointed in this unit from A to Z. Instructions are crappy, no notice that it was limited to "IR" remote controllers, Tech Support suggesting I should go purchase another piece of hardware to make it work with their unit. NOT.

DONT BUY THIS
If you expect your speakers to last more than 5 years....Don't buy this product. I have been a loyal customer since 2013 and the first time I called customer service about a playbar that COMPLETELY failed, Sonos response was to offer me a discount on a new device. WHAT!?!?! They didn't offer to fix it, look at it, they said the best they could do was to have me buy a new product. WOW!!! After buying 8 different products from sonos I would have thought they would have had a different response. AGAIN, if you are ok with your product lasting 5 years, they this product is for you.

DO NOT BUY SONOS IF YOU WANT SUPPORT BEYOND A FEW YEARS
After 7 years I switched my router which required a rest of my Sonos system. Sonos website basically says they no longer support old Sonos. I have tried numerous times to follow the instructions in their app to get the system running again. Fails every time. If you buy Sonos, they will likely drop all support after 5 years and you are stuck with worthless products. They even say that on their website. No support. What an awful company.
