Works as it should, good quality. Decided on these as they are cast and less likely to crack then cheap stainless manifolds.

Loved this kit. Perfect fit on both ends. Great design with the gaps between the bolt heads to allow for flexing so the issue doesn't happen again that's common with the GM 5.3s. Buy this kit again if I have to do the passenger side. Many previous users said that it doesn't come with the manifold to head gasket shown in pic but it does. Inside the main box is another cardboard liner. The gasket is between the liner and the outer box so it doesn't get damaged. I still ordered an OEM gasket but it is there contrary to what most have said.

This appears to be a decent, sturdy replacement part. However, as noted in other reviews, it may interfere with your coolant temp sensor and require trimming to fit. This was the case with my 2003 GMC Yukon with the 5.3L LM7 engine. I discovered this after braking off the plastic connector of my temp sensor while trying to install this part. My angle grinder made quick work of the offending corner. It's also worth noting that the ring gasket included did come bent as a result of the manifold hitting it in shipping as others have mentioned. (Un)fortunately I was also replacing the catalytic converter/y-pipe and the new one uses a flat gasket that was included with it. Always go with the factory style multi-layer steel gasket between the manifold and head, but in a pinch, I did locate the included paper-faced gasket tucked in between the two boxes after I read about it in another review.

This is the fix for my 2002 2500HD with a 6.0. My original manifold broke bolts after 20 years but this new design that is not connected between cylinders 3 and 5 allow the manifold to flex so this will never happen again. As an added not I purchased ARP hardened manifold bolts to ensure this will never happen again.
