Came as pictured and described
I liked that the statue fit right in with my collection, matches US Grant (on left) same colors and blends well with the collection.

American History
I never had any interest in owning a statue like this until they started being toppled. One day, perhaps, we will look back and regret the destruction of our nation's history. Or maybe not. I, for one, will always be proud of my country and the American South. History is what it is. Any attempt to destroy it always ends badly--for everyone.

Beautifully detailed and accurate image of the noble Robert E. Lee.
Even if the cancel culture removes all the monuments to the great men of our history, I will still have some of my own! The detail is amazing, the likeness is faithful to the photographs of this great man.

A detailed statue of a compelling and inspirational figure from American history.
A beautiful and highly detailed statue. It pairs well with the statue of Washington since the two families are connected through marriage. (Seems like other posters wanted to include history on here, so I thought I would too.) Lee was a hero in the American Army and also a talented engineer and teacher. He personally lamented the institution of slavery and was an advocate of education. He was superintendent of West Point, and would later teach at Washington and Lee University where he spent most of his retirement years after receiving a pardon from the US Government for reluctantly turning down the command of the US Army and becoming the leader of the Army of Northern Virginia. His allegiance lay with the Commonwealth of Virginia, and it was his belief that state's rights was more in line with the vision of America fought for by Washington. His home through marriage, Arlington House, was turned into Arlington National Cemetery.
