My old Dewalt charger died. While the tools they went with are old technology and heavy, I wasn’t ready to throw them away. But I wasn’t ready to spend a premium on an OEM replacement. This charger seems as well made as OEM and works great.

EDIT: after I posted my review, the seller contacted me and offered me a refund. I followed the instructions and accepted.Then, instead of processing that, they changed it and messaged me to say they'd send me a replacement charger. WTH.Except, I already wasted two weeks with this. I had to return the used drill I had bought this charger for bcz I was stuck needing to a drill to finish my steps/deck project. I bought a different brand drill with that store credit...and, to add, I DONT NEED ANOTHER BROKEN CHARGER, let alone from a brand of drill I now had to return.You sold me junk, offered to refund me ..then went back on your offer and instead offered a replacement I TOLD you I didn't need anymore.Plugged it in, and nothing happened. Put in the battery -- nothing happened. Tried it on 3 different working plugs in the house, checked that the cord wasn't loose... Nothing.And I will have to drive 50mi round trip to return it -- no local way to return. Total ripoff .

I originally purchased this to charge my new XRP Dewalt batteries. It works well!The battery color indicator isn't wired to show green for done and red for charging. It shows red for done and green for charging. In my opinion it's backwards. That's the only drawback of this product. I've been using it at least once per week since I bought it in early January 2020 and it's been charging these batteries with consistency.

I wish that I had bought this charger before I recycled my old batteries. The standard charger has lights that illuminate only when a battery is inserted. This charger has a light on whenever it is plugged in to the power. I had left my old charger plugged in for long periods of time. I assumed that my batteries had worn out when I couldn't charge them anymore, so I recycled the old batteries and bought two new ones. The new batteries were partially charged when they arrived, so used both of them until they were discharged. Then I found that my new batteries would not charge. At first I though I got a couple of bad batteries, but I saw this charger on sale for a reasonable price, so I bought it to test if the old charger was broken and, if it wasn't, to have a second charger so I could charge both batteries at the same time. Once it arrived, both of the new batteries charged fully and I now know that the problem was the old charger had broken. Considering that the cost of the charge is a fraction of the battery cost, I would suggest that people consider buying a replacement charger before buying new batteries.

Product works great and works just like advertised. I would recommend this charger anytime. Works as well as the OEM that came with by Dewalt 18v Drill. As for shipping, Amazon seems to be failing more and more in keeping delivery times. This product was pushed back 3 times. Other items I have purchased as of late rarely arrive on the delivery time given. Not sure what's going on with Amazon, seller contacted me about how I liked the product three days before I received it.GREAT BUY!!
