It’s great to be able to just flip them up rather than changing glasses. Great price. Got here fast. They came in a decent box so they would be a good small gift. The yellow lenses are excellent for nighttime driving. They really do help with clarity, (for us older drivers), and really reduce the nightime glair from the light of oncoming traffic.

I bought these flip-ups to try out tints and effectiveness of the polarization before investing in new eyeglasses. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the yellow lenses helped indoors with TV and computer screens. Less glare and a slight improvement in sharpness. The dark brown works OK outdoors. Also, the clip on assembly is easy to use. I would recommend to my fellow glaucoma patients.

Pretty good deal for the price, comes in a really nice box with a lens cleaning cloth. However, there is a slight design flaw or manufacturing defect. I would blamed workmanship if only one pair had it, but both had the same issue. The right eye lens wasn't level, it was slightly tilted counterclockwise as you look at them from the front. The nose frame the lenses are fastened to are symmetric, but the placement of the lens on it wasn't level. So I had to use a heavy duty pair of needle-nosed plyers to bend the piece the lens is fastened to towards my nose. This is one tough metal to bend so risked busting it off. Took quite a bit of elbow grease to bend it slightly to level off the lens. Performance is very good, cuts out quite a bit of glare. Especially like the flip up feature. These were the only 52mm wide ROUND sunglasses I could find, and the lens comes just to the edge of my eyeglasses lens. Probably would have extended all the way to the outer edge of my frames had I not had to adjust the tilt. I should have taken pix before the adjustment, the misalignment of the right lens was quite noticeable. But for this price, the flaw was acceptable--only because I was able to fix it.

She wanted clipons but none were the shape of, or compatible with her glasses. By the measurements, these looked like just the deal. She reports that they are perfect and so far quite durable on an excursion into Central America. The extra pair seals the deal.

I purchased these because I need my bifocals when driving, and my transition lenses just don't get dark enough in the car. I will have to say, the sunglasses work almost TOO well. They are so dark I have to flip them up to see certain gauges on the dashboard of the car. The polarization is great, and really do eliminate distant haze.So far they seem to be of decent quality. The holder, spring, and lenses are holding up well. I've been protecting the lenses and so far no major scratches.NEGATIVEMy only complaint is that they cause my glasses to slide down my nose more frequently. My glasses do that already, even without the sunglasses attached. But now it's more often. I don't blame this on the sunglasses, but it's just food for though if debating on going with clip-on style.POSITIVESI do love the flip-up function. It's nice to flip them up without having to think much about it or take my eyes off the road. And the springs are tight enough that the glasses stay up -- they do not easily flip back down inadvertently.Clips are snug, and are not coming detached from the glasses until you are ready for them to.Getting 2 pair at a time allows me to have one in both of my vehicles, so that I don't have to remember to move the glasses from one to another.In summary, I love these glasses. If I purchase these again, I'm coming back to this brand. Although I probably will get a different tint that is not so dark.

I lose sunglasses quite a bit, and those that don't get lost, get scratched up pretty easily. My wife is quite put out with me on the amount of money I spend on sunglasses every year! She is one of those irritating people who have had the same pair of sunglasses since she was 16. She is even able to feel nostalgic about them! "I was wearing them when. . . "These look like the ones I pay way too much for locally, and I get TWO pair from Splaks for less money! I bought 2 pairs of black daylight clip ons. The build quality appears higher than the ones I buy locally too. The bridge clip is metal whereas the cheaper local ones are plastic (but are still more expensive than the Splaks).The Splaks even came with a set of four (4!) extra rubber tips. You know, those little things on the clip that fall off after a couple of weeks? I have often wondered why extras can't be included, or even available for sale. Splaks must be able to read my mind.The only negative I saw is that the clips that are supposed to go around the bridge and grip the back of the lens were too close together, and lay atop the bridge cushions making it impossible for the sunglasses to fit my eyeglasses. I don't know if my bridge measurement was off or if that is just a risk of these sunglasses. I took a pair of needle-nose pliers and carefully spread them so they fit properly.To me, this proves these sunglasses are of higher quality than the metal clip-ons I can buy locally since the metal was actually able to be bent without breaking. The cheap pot metal of the local sunglasses is much too brittle to stand up to even a gentle attempt to bend them.I'm quite pleased, and when I lose both of these clip-on sunglasses, I will buy more.

Easy to clip-on. Can wear them for both day-light driving and night time driving. A little too big for my glasses.
