Q: How can I use this to automatically scan when I hold a barcode under it without having to press the button?

Scan the "continuous" barcode in the manual, extend the sleep & shutdown time to avoid pulling the trigger after a short time to activate the scanner, please contact the customer service if you need any help. info@tera-digital.com

Q: Will this automatically press enter in Excel to go down 1 cell after scanning a barcode?

It will go to the next line if not there is a barcode sheet with it that will give you different options on how it reacts.

Q: Does it connect to apple mac computer?

Yes, for all intents and purposes the scanner just presents itself as a keyboard to the computer, and then 'types' whatever it reads from the barcode.
