Q: It’s not full tang from the user photos. Also, it should not be called a machete at 14”. This looks like the movie prop from predator but too short?

It is not full tang. Mine snapped in two after a month.

Q: can it be used in field or for display

The metal/steel is china so I wouldn't highly recommend using it in the field, but I could be wrong. The one I received has a sharp blade, and a small imperfections in the wood of the handle, but other than that it's impressive nonetheless.
