Life Saver Product
A total life saver product. I was struggling with a traditional pump for quite a while. The pain a regular pump caused me made feel like giving up on breastfeeding. Then I tried the Haaka. Now it’s all I use. So easy to use, easy to clean, and just a wonderful product. I put it on and am able to collect milk with such ease and no pain. This is a great product if you’re looking to casually collect some extra milk for your freezer stash with little to no effort, no pain. Also works quickly to collect the milk (of course this depends on your let down). With consistent use I was also able to help boost my milk supply by using this in between feedings to help trick my body into producing more.

Not an actual pump but still useful device
This is a great little device, especially for someone who doesn’t need to pump a lot of extra milk. It could not replace an electric pump and it does not induce let down on its own. I used it a lot on maternity leave when I was nursing. It was best to use on the opposite side while nursing or manually pumping. I would easily catch an extra 4-5oz, which would have otherwise been lost. I used the milkies milk saver with my first child, which passively collects leaking milk. This product is far superior as the suction not only keeps it in place, but assists in collecting more milk. It’s not something I would take to work but has been very useful at home.

This is the best money I’ve spent on my baby!!!
I never write reviews, but this has been such a game changer for me, I feel like I need to shout about it...and then go buy one for every new mom I know! First off, I bought this for my fifth baby, and I’ve breastfed them all so I thought I had it all figured out. My first two babies were premature twins, and so I am no stranger to the traditional breast pump - and like most women, I hate them. I’ve always had a good supply, but I avoid pumping because it’s SUCH a hassle, and my breast size required a huge flange, and even then I often had pain. Enter the Haakaa: I used it to relieve engorgement initially so I didn’t have to drag out a pump, and at this point I use it almost every time I nurse my baby. I can usually count on 3-6oz of milk in my little Haakaa EACH TIME. I have had zero pain, and it’s EFFORTLESS. So fast and easy to clean! And in the middle of the night when she is too sleepy to fully empty me and I want to sleep comfortably? Bring on the Haakaa! The only drawback is that for me, I need to empty it before moving to the other breast, or we will have overflow issues...which can lead to a loss of suction, and milk spilling. Also, it tips fairly easily - easily solved, I keep a coffee cup wherever I nurse and pop the Haakaa with milk in it so it cannot tip, then dump the milk into a storage bag and pop the storage bag in the mug for safekeeping while I put the Haakaa on the other side. Baby is now 9 days old and my freezer stash is getting crazy! BUY THIS NOW!!!!

Hands free
I love being able to collect all my let down and nurse baby at the same time. It can be tricky to get it attached, but I’ve been able to collect milk while I’m driving too.

True hands and clutter free way to get them mLs
Funny tip with this product specifically: I had a hard time with placement of my nipple in this thing. There is that funny notch looking thing at the top of the flange and I thought initially, "Is this a groove for me to cram my nipple against?" Nope, actually it can be used as a depth check for your nipple placement. Maybe I should make a picture to full illustrate what I mean by this. Anyway word salad, you position your nipple as dead center to the flange neck transition zone, and stick nipple in there at the same depth as that indicator notch. I don't know if this was the intention, instructions on this item and all breast feeding in general sucks, but if you follow this tip makes placement a heck of a lot easier. Placement is important when relying on expression, since you want all of your milk duct exits on your nipple firing at full blast since this is the haakaa's manual breast pumps' verifiable true claim to fame, which is super fast expression that is hands off, and allows you not to be chained to an electric outlet or batteries. Even the super-est electric pump can't match this thing since those electric pumps all have the same Achilles' heel of that tiny aperture to their breast shields that doesn't consider variations to nipple anatomy and WILL block some exits of your nipple (which probably is the true reason why the professionals talk down a woman's ability to exclusive pump, haakaa prove them wrong!) A bit of background for my perspective I am an exclusive pumper by The Fates' decree, and you can use this as intended once you have a supply that easily fills 60 mL, that or when you can get more than 2-3 streams of milk duct exit on your nipple surface, this all being at about maybe 9-11 weeks into your breastfeeding progress. Prior to that I was pretty much using this as a hand expression receptacle, which it is also pretty good at being. Hit up the Medela Pump In Style <https://www.amazon.com/review/R1TU1QVVR0TCGU/ref=cm_cr_srp_d_rdp_perm?ie=UTF8> and see the long winded thing I wrote up about building supply, written while I was starting out building my supply under conditions where odds were against me physically and mentally to establish a milk supply. While the product itself is well designed, the gimmick-y way that this company doles out its products in a really confusing way leaves a lot to be desired. This isn't a helpful thing to do when ladies are stressed and just trying to make the food for baby. Rest assured tho with some stubbornness you can get enough food for your kid. Final thing maybe I stink at cleaning silicone stuff, but I don't consider this thing easy to clean at all, but this is a flaw in the material Silicone. I mean it is clean in the sense that it probably is clear of micro-organisms, but it looks kinda cloudy and messy unless you invest some elbow grease in making it look like new.

Great Product!
Love this manual pump. So easy to keep nearby for when I need to take a little off the top" if you will. Also use it to catch any residual dripping from the non feeding side. Very easy to use, suctions right on and stores in the fridge so i can use through the day until I have enough to put into my storage. Or could warm up in a bottle and feed baby straight away. I recommend buying the storage lid.

A must-have for breastfeeding moms
One of the best baby purchases I made. It's an easy way to build up milk stores - I put it on the breast opposite of where the baby is eating to catch the let down. Once my milk supply was established I could get between 4-8oz per day of milk to save just from using this. I love it! My only complaint is that it will randomly lose suction and I wind up spilling milk all over. So I just be really careful with my movements and try to stay focused with my hand near to catch if that happens.

Recomiendo!

Good quality. It’s just expensive compared to other brands that have the same function.

I haven’t used it yet but this is the real deal.
