Good magnifier, good value. So many of the reviews here for this magnifying hood seem to be for either a completely different (and often inferior) product, or a different version than the one I received, so let me state that this review is just for the one pictured with this review. This is a seriously good magnifier. It has optical glass lenses, unlike the plastic ones that I’ve seen on other similar products. This is an unbranded knock off of the Donegan Opti-Visor. I have an original Opti-Visor that is about 35 years old, and this one is quite comparable. The original Optii-Visor had prismatic lenses that aimed inward to the focal point, and though these lenses lack that feature, it still works fine, at least for my eyes. There are four lens sets included, and give a good range of magnifications. I can’t say I’m wild about the pin system used to attach the lenses, but they are very easy to attach and remove. We’ll see how that holds up over time. The headband is nicely padded, although I may add a cloth sweat cover. I use the old Opti-Visor in my workshop, and I wanted something similar for household tasks. As I get older, I don’t think I could get along without one of these. It’s well worth what I paid for it, which was a little over twenty bucks. Some reviews stated that the the hood doesn't stay where you put it, but the hinges on this one have spring tension washers, so it’s easy to adjust and move up and down, and it stays put. The light is bright enough, is rechargeable via USB-C (short cable included), and is removable for charging or just to use as a flashlight. I’m very happy with this magnifier.

Well made and easy to use. Really helps me to read the fine print in books and other small items. Fully functional and adjustable! I like them a lot.

The Beilsshi Head Mounted Magnifier With LED Light works fine with or without eye glasses under it. The head band is comfortable. The light, with its tilt function & adjustable light level is helpful. The battery lasts a reasonable amount of time (perhaps an hour on Bright). Having a case for the extra lenses is handy. Being able to take off the forehead padding for washing (which is quite comfortable) is easy. - - - - On the "Star Minus" side, changing the lenses isn't quick. The push-in rivets which hold the lenses break kind of easily, but are a hardware store item for a few cents. And, adjusting the headband diameter is clumsy and is not infinite. It has certain steps instead- which never seem perfect. But it's OK. . Optivisor has a much easier adjustment with infinite fine tuning, but the Beileshi doesn't cost $50.00 like the Optivisor. - - - - I would like if this had a flip-up/down circular magnifier, as do other brands. A work-around is to remove one of the push-in lens holders and replace it with a screw & nut, attaching an Optivisor's flip down lens. ---- Would I buy another one? Probably next time, I'll go back to Optivisor. But this is much less expensive and good enough.

Work great! I would suggest getting small screws to hold lenses in place as plastic rivets don’t hold as well as one would like.

This appears to be a cheap knock-off of the similar but higher-quality Donegan Optical product. Most of the design, down to dimensions, texture and style are close if not identical. A few points: 1. The pivot adjustment nuts do not stay put as one raises and lowers the visor. Expect to be tightening the nuts often. 2. The visor sticks out about 1/2" farther due to the (mis)location of the pivot points in the headband. This can prevent you from getting close to your work, especially in tight situations. 3. The visor band is vinyl instead of leather, and has no sweat-absorbing felt band. 4. The magnifier plates are compatible with the Donegan Optical magnifier lenses, and seem to be decent quality. 5. The magnifier lens case is warped and does not hold the lenses unless the attachment pins are removed first. Also, mine came with six pins. Why there isn't a pair of pins for each of the four lenses seems bizarre. So you need to move the plastic pins from lens to lens. This seems unnecessary and likely to help you lose pins. So overall, I think this product is OK for brief occasional use. But if you expect to use it often, think about a higher quality product. One appealing strategy is to buy this, toss this headset, buy a less-expensive Donengan product that comes with a plastic lens, and use the set of four lenses that come with this product with the superior Donegan headset.

Yeah... so I'm old enough to still refer to these as "diopters." Because that's what these are! I have been sporting the same set of diopters for about fifteen years now. When you're in the business (use your imagination on what that could be), these come in quite handy. Despite the scuffs and scratches, I was reluctant to give them up because they had been carefully crafted (with copious amounts of duct tape) to perfectly fit my fat head! My partner said I "need to treat myself once in awhile." "What is the harm in trying a new pair of these" she said with a nefarious smirk on her face. I capitulated and placed the order. They arrived quickly. So quickly that anxiety and guilt welled-up from within as I thought about my long partnership with my trusty, form-fitting companion diopters of many years. I skeptically pulled this new pair out of the box and fitted them to my sizeable skull with the convenient little knob/dial in the back. It was a painful .05 seconds it took for me to toss my old diopters in the garbage... but now I'm seeing tiny things with clarity. I finally added batteries to the light after about a week (my old diopters didn't have a light, so why bother?). As it turns-out, lighting up what you're looking at is pretty darn helpful! Who knew?!?! So here, in this review, you'll here me say it: "She was right." I needed this new pair of diopters. And if typing the word "diopters" 8 times in this review (including the title) doesn't help you remember what they are, then you probably don't need them.

This Head-Mounted dual magnifier with a strong LED light is probably the best choice if you need free hands and magnification. Also it comes in 4 magnification lenses. Because of the 4 different magnifications, you are able to use them for different projects. You do have to move the item you are looking at to a distance that you can see with your glasses on, but it depends on the magnification lens you are using. The LED is very bright and has 2 settings, and is recharged through a common USB cable. You take a lens and 'snap it on' to the headband. The headband is very soft and is easily adjustable. Also it is nice that you can flip the lens up, if you need to see without magnification.

This headband magnifier is very comfortable and works well, even while wearing eye glasses beneath. The interchangeable lenses seem to be of good quality and are easy to install and remove, and the magnification is very sharp. The unit did come apart when dropped, but reassembly was quick and easy.
