2014 JK. Great product! Most important qualities of a shift knob; look, feel, fit and durability. All these are 5/5! Some complaints about this being metal and will get hot, live in NW FL, top down all the time and haven’t seen this. Install is great however the removal of the OEM was a hassle for me, tried just “yanking it off”.....no go, used vice grips, yanked, twisted and crushed to get it off. Replace the OEM with this one, love the rubber tread look and feel. 5 stars!

I replaced the stock shift knob in my 2012 JK after the silver bezel broke and started coming off in my hand. This shift knob is very high quality and looks great in the jeep. The only thing I would change would be to make it just a tad larger in diameter, but that is not at any fault of the manufacturer. It is slightly smaller than the stock knob in terms of girth in your hand, but it's not puny, and I did get over it quickly. It installs very easily as well. You remove the rubber grib to expose the set screw, pop the knob on and tighten the allen set screw and you're done. The allen screw is a very small allen size, but I don't recall which size. I actually had to borrow my Dad's allen set because my dewalt set did not go down small enough. I have had this knob in my jeep for a couple months now and it has not moved or shifted and still as securly mounted as it was the day I installed it. I highly recommend it.

Well, I really like the look of this knob, but damn does it get hot!I didn't even think about the fact that it was solid metal when I bought and installed it. But the first time I grabbed onto it on a lovely balmy 110 degrees day I sure did. I felt like the Nazi in Raiders of the Lost Ark. I can now identify myself to other Jeepers simply by waving at them and showing them the gear pattern seared into my palm.I cover it when parked now. But that doesn't really fix the issue, top on, tinted windows up, shade in the windshield and a do-rag on the shifter and I still can't hold it barehanded when I shift. But it is solid and is a great shape that fits the hand nicely. I just can't wait until the temps drop a wee bit.

Got this for my Mom’s 2015 Wrangler JK 6 speed. It was a royal pain to get the factory shift knob off. But once it was removed, the installation of this one was super easy. It has a great heavy feel and you can feel the quality of this piece.

I installed this on my 2012 Jeep Wrangler after the stock shift knob's top chrome ring broke. To remove the stocker, there are plenty of YouTube videos; the gist is you need to twist it back and forth to get the internal plastic catch off of the "hook" in the shifter. Fooling these videos, took me about 10 minutes to remove the old one. On the new shifter, peel back the rubber tread to reveal the set screw, loosen, and install on your shifter. I added lock-tie to the set screw, and then tightened. I have had it on for over a month, and it hasnt moved. It does feel smaller in my hand then the stocker, but I quickly adjusted. I did notice it would definitely get warm on some hot humid summer days, but it was never uncomfortably hot like other reviews here have noted. Im sure it will be cold in the winter months, but I am not worried. One thing I would like to see would be to have the shift pattern engraved into the top of the shifter instead of painted on. However, for the price, I am very satisfied with the product overall and I would purchase again.

Huge improvement over the stock feel. They feel solid and good in your hand, light to throw, and look freaking awesome. I have more than one friend who bought them after driving my vehicle. Love this product and I will be swapping for these in every Jeep I buy from here on out.

There was supposed to be a set screw? Mine did not come with a set screw. Mine didn't even have a hole where a set screw would go. I though I was doing something wrong, and there is no way to know if your doing it right or not because this product does not come with instructions. Not even a suggested link to a helpful Drake sponsored YouTube site. so I hit it with a rubber mallet a couple of times to see if it would set like the OEM part does. As im sure you know that didn't work. Then after trying a few different glues, that failed, I used epoxy and now it stays on real nice and snug. It looks nice and feels good, but if your looking to buy, don't expect instructions. I guess they are too expensive to put on the back of the packaging.

Sits a little lower than the stock knob. Easy to hold and snick around the gear box. The tire tread detail feels a bit quirky and I'm pretty sure I would not have ordered it if I had felt it first. But I'm getting used to it.The aluminum gets HOT in the sun and COLD on cold mornings. You were warned.

LOVE this shift knob, perfect comfortable size and the rubber is a great buffer for those cold mornings and for extra comfort! Super easy to install, and excellent for the price
