6/9/25 Update Well, I'll be buying this from Kroger from now on. For some reason, Amazon thinks doubling the price of this in one month's time is okay. It's not. Bob's Red Mill is an American Company. No tariffs. Try again, Amazon. Bob's Red Mill products have never let me down, so I thought I'd try a couple of their flaxseed options. I can't eat gluten, so I like that their gluten free labeled items are reliably gluten free and always high quality. I tried another one of Bob's gluten free flaxseed varieties before this one, and it was very bitter and almost rotten tasting. Really nasty. I emailed the company to see if they'd had any reports of issues or if for some reason that variety is supposed to taste that way. No email response from Bob's ever came. (It's been several months now since I emailed). So sure, I was slightly annoyed they never responded. But I just trashed that package and hoped it was a one off. I tried this variety of their flaxseed next, and it's delicious. This is what flaxseed is supposed to taste like. It's a more neutral taste and has an even, light texture. I use this to add to fruit protein smoothies I make at home. This flaxseed is a great source of phytoestrogens, which are important for women like me who are hormone positive breast cancer survivors. The protein in flaxseed is a nice bonus. If you're trying to decide which variety of Bob's flaxseed to try first, this is the one. Yes, the cost is up there compared to some other options. When it's higher on Amazon, I buy this from my grocery store. But I haven't found a reliably gluten free flaxseed of this quality that compares to this one.

Great for fiber and omega 3 and the i love the subtle nutty flavor it adds to oatmeal and grits.

A lot of flaxseed for the price, had to buy it because I couldn't find any golden flax at my regular grocery stores. Came well packaged and sealed with zero bad smell or concern of freshness. I love that the bag reseals, it keeps seed taste from going bad or getting dried out. I like to use this for making protein pancakes.
