I have been a believer in the value of perseverance all of my life and have seen it pay dividends many times over during my military career as a Naval Academy midshipman and Naval Aviator for 20 years. This book is the best compilation of life lessons and values that everyone should embrace if they want to find true success and happiness in life. I can honestly say that I have experienced first hand the triumphs and failures described within and Darrin Donnelly’s words of wisdom are 100% true to life and a great recipe for achieving your personal best. Read this book, then make your kids read this book. I have already mailed my college-aged daughter her own personal copy with my highest recommendation to read it, absorb its’ content, and adjust her outlook so that she too can achieve her dreams! An easy to read and very valuable book for people of all ages!

Wonderful book !!!

Phenomenal book! Really highly recommend to keep you motivated through thick and thin. Grit teaches you life lessons to keep in mind everyday. Grit is full of old school outlook to life if your looking for a warm and soft approach this might not be for you. I had my whole family read it and it really did help everyone in their own way. It was easy to read and very well laid out. Grit is full of lessons you already knew just didn't realize that they were rules for life!

I've been devouring Donnelly's books and loving them, but this one didn't excite me. The content and messages are excellent, but the book isn't as clever or as easy to read as his others

Bought this for a kids to read, but my husband and I are also enjoying it! Great book I would recommend it to anyone.

This guide written for his grandchildren and shared with everyone is so inspiring. The raw honestly if life lessons put in terms we all can understand.

All of Donnelly’s books are great

This book has a good storyline. Grit is something we can all use more of. Being a graduate of MVC a school and still a follower of MVC basketball, I was thrown off at first thinking this was a true story. This is my issue and not the book’s issue of having a hard time getting past the near nonfiction storyline. Otherwise well done.

The book serves as an instruction manual for getting back to the values that truly lead to success and developing the old school grit that can get us to achieve anything. Success is not achieved by finding ways to avoid mistakes or facing obstacles. Successful people are willing to keep moving forward without avoiding but overcoming life’s inevitable obstacles. Grit matters most in driving success and signifies willpower to persevere with passion and a sense of purpose A nice book which fills the reader’s mind with motivation, positivity, resilience while building confidence to overcome adversity and achieve goals in all spheres of life
