These hardcover book collections of the classic G.I. Joe comics are nearly library bound quality; sturdy and spectacular, measuring an extensive length of 11x7x1, with re-mastered color on high-quality pages.I recently purchased the first four volumes (x2) after an extended weekend visiting my brother, going over the golden age of toys and cartoons from the 80's, re-living our wonder years, and reminiscing ad nauseum about G.I. Joe and wishing we had read through all of the comics of yesteryears. He was floored to receive the surprise and we have been going back-and-forth constantly over text regarding the stories and characters. It's been like jumping into a time-machine and landing in an 80's time capsule of our childhood.Volume 3 covers comic issues #25 through #33 plus "The Tiger and the Teapot" (2008), 32.5 "A Day In The Life of Springfield" (2008) and Yearbook #1 in glorious presentation, in chronological order, and has held up well to the age of time. There are some 'dated' one-liners and zingers that only reiterate the feeling of nostalgia surrounding every ones' favorite figurines. Issues #25-33 continue to introduce us to the G.I. Joe universe and character canon, showcasing the 1984 Series 3 G.I. Joe toy line (along with Series 1 & 2 characters).If you jumped on the G.I. Joe comic book bandwagon a little late -- like myself, collecting the G.I. Joe regular comic along with "Special Missions" and "Tales" issues here and there, the "Tales of G.I. Joe" were reprinted issues of the first 15 original Joe comics; which stories that can be found in Vol.1 and Vol2. Volume 3 continues to slowly introduce us to the 1984 Series 3 G.I. Joe toy line mixed in with the previous Joes.I cannot stress how impressive these graphic novel-like books are; with first-time printed bonus material, a knowledgeable forward, and additional author fun-facts and notes. The only thing missing from these reprints are the old Marvel indices inside and that iconic B&W Spiderman headshot (sometimes web-slinging body-shot) or the UPC code on the cover.

Another great addition to the Complete Collection. It has issues #25-33 of the main series, most of the first yearbook and 2 issues from toy packs.The highlights - great printing of this excellent material, including the origin of Snake-Eyes & the introduction of Zartan & the Dreadlocks. Issues 27.5 & 33.2 from the toys that many readers will not have seen before and just the new parts to the first yearbook, which makes sense to keep from having duplicate materials. Plus blueprints for 4 of the series 3 vehicles. Plus there's interesting commentary by Mark Bellomo.The negatives are - only 4 blueprints, Mark Bellomo's commentary is hit or miss, some of it is great some just bad. The cover of yearbook 1 isn't as sharp as on the original and they leave off the back cover. Also still no file cards, which is now striking me as very odd. Mark Bellomo spends much of his time talking about the file cards and yet they aren't reprinted here.Overall still a great edition of this material I've loved since I was a child. I'm looking forward to catching my collection up. And again I've got the origin comics and tpb versions of these issues but found this version totally worth buying. If you love classic G.I. Joe, this is a must have.

As a collector and fan of the GI Joe series in the 80’s, this collection does not disappoint. In fact, it is the reason for what I enjoyed so much as he kid—the background, the history, the relationships, the continued story, and more.

All I really need to say for the complete collections is if you enjoyed the G.I. Joe's in the 80's, comics or toys, you will enjoy these very much. Printed very well, love the hard cover. I wish it had the "bookmark" that the Transformers IDW collections have.

I had the toys, I watched the cartoon, but I was a little too young for the comic books. I love these Complete Collections. It makes for a terrific toilet read. Volume 3 is when the classic 1984-1985 characters begin to appear. The stories become a lot more intense and take place over multiple issues.I already have Volume 4 pre-ordered. I hope they continue publishing them.

These volumes keep getting better. If quality matters to you then you won't be disappointed with this collection. A lot of work goes in to these volumes and it shows. The original work never looked better and the forwards that start these books are very informative and an amazing insight in to the world of G.I. Joe

Very enjoyable to read this old series from a series still running.

The End of this book starts the beginning of when I dropped of GI Joe. Really enjoyed vol. 1 and 2 and most of this volume!

AMAZING! If you are a fan of G.I.Joe and Larry Hama's universe then you must have this. This volume continues the reprinting of the regular A Real Action Hero comic as well as including Yearbooks and additional issues in chronological order. Stop reading this and order it!

Lots of nostalgic fun with the Joes

As a life long fan of G.I Joe it's good to be able to by collections of the comics. A little pricy byut nice quality and hardback makes it worth.
