Purchased to replace a similar shade. The old one had plastic behind the fabric. The plastic acted as a frame but went brittle and broke. This one is much better. The frame is metal and there are two layers of real fabric. Very pleased.

This shade in the 6in size is a clip on shade and not a gimbal fitting like it’s clearly says in the description and indeed even showing pictures of said gimbal fitting. Having said that I was wanting it for a candle shape bulb so the incorrect information on this occasion worked for me. The shade itself is really lovely and looks rather cute on my lamp. The light is a lovely glow not a bright light coming through which I wanted as it’s for my hallway. all in all I’m happy enough

Important to measure . I got this for a small lamp and didn’t realise it « clipped « on bulb . Didn’t screw in . Much smaller than I thought but I’ll just use it - although it looks a bit odd 🙈- quality ok 👍

This lampshade is actually very pretty and very nice. Make sure you measure everything carefully. It is smaller than it looks online. It looks cute when I have it, but there's one super bugbear: It says quite clearly in the images that it has a “gimbal fitting”, and if you look in the images, it looks like it screws onto the stand. That's a complete and utter lie. Mine came with essentially wire pincers that grab onto the bulb itself. I'll say that again. It literally latches onto the bulb, not the stand. So be aware. Works for me, but maybe not for everybody.
