Athletic Specialties Xl Heavy Duty Canvas Duffle Bag

I bought two of these bags for my hockey playing sons with visions of them getting a couple of years out of them. The item is described as HEAVY DUTY CANVAS....HA! The quality of the bag on a whole is good except for the fact that if this is what they consider heavy duty, I would HATE to see what they call light weight. The bag is nicely sized for all of the boys equipment but like I stated, the canvas is SOOO lightweight that I'd be shocked if it doesn't rip within the next 2 months of usage. The other big problem I have with the bag is the zipper. Even if this really is heavy duty canvas, the zipper is lucky if it could handle the load. It seems extremely cheap and an after thought to production. If any thought WAS actually put into the zipper, it was "Let's use a cheap one and save some money!". Believe it or not, the bag seems like it would have been well constructed if better materials were used. Bottom line is that the bag is WAY overpriced for what you get. Unfortunately for us, we're confident we'll be replacing these within a month or two, BUT I'll be sure to visit a bricks and mortar store to see the actual product BEFORE I buy it. Somethings I guess you just CAN'T buy online. My bad.P.S. Second star was for EXTREMELY speedy delivery.

I use this item for our tent. The original bag for our tent is a little too small once you use it. Does the job of keeping everything together.

Decent bag at a great price. It is a simple no-frills canvas bag. Seems fairly sturdy.

The duffle bag is very large and very sturdy. It is what I had hoped for when ordering it. I bought it for my brother who is downsizing his wardrobe and the duffle bag holds alot of his clothes. Who says women have alot of stuff?

My husband needed a bag to throw his hockey gear in, and this bag is just perfect for the job. It's lightweight and not fancy, but is roomy enough to hold all of his pads and skates. Worth every penny!

There is nothing overly exciting about this duffle bag except that it does the trick and then some.Very durable and practical.
