As another reviewer indicated, I was also hesitant to buy a filter sight unseen over the internet. However, I could not ignore the $30 plus price savings over Pinch-a-Penny. I like supporting my local Pinch-a-Penny store because they test my water regularly which helps me keep my pool chemically balanced, but there comes a point where I can no longer pay 40% more for an item. And I usually buy two filters at a time so I can alternate their use so I don't need to be in a hurry to clean and reuse one filter. So, I bought one filter and when it arrived it appeared to be constructed well and I could not tell any physical difference between others that I've purchased at my local pool stores. It fit normally in my Hayward C-1200 filter housing. So far, I've only used it during the cooler months with shorter pump run times, but it is filtering well and the filter pressure is maintaining steady and I have not had to clean it yet. The real test will be if it can handle a Florida summer of filtering 8 hours a day for 6 consecutive months with the warmer water temperatures and alot of use of the pool. But I feel confident thus far and I am going to purchase another filter soon.JANUARY 15, 2012 UPDATE: I used the initial filter that I bought in Jan 2011 thru May 2011 and I was very satisfied with the performance so I purchased another filter. I used the two filters, alternating them through the 2011 summer months with no problems. I did not have to clean them very often (they'd last 6 to 8 weeks before the pressure would get to where cleaning was required) and they are still performing well. I noticed the new price of $38.00 which is a much greater value than the purchase price that I paid in Jan 2011.

The Pool Filter Replacement from Aqua Kleen arrived safely, smoothly and on time.When I ordered this filter replacement I wasn`t sure if I made a mistake because usually I buy original filters.Its been over 3 weeks and so far I am happy with my purchase and replacement filter. It worked great from day one and fit perfectly.If it continues working it saved me a lot of money compared to a original brand name.For a little under $60, I rate this filter four out of five stars.I paid full price for this on amazon. This is a product I would recommend!

The only discrepancy was the filters I ordered were supposed to be for 125 sq. t & when I received them, the labels on the filters said they were for 120 sq. ft. I went ahead & kept them since I don't think it would make a huge difference, and I didn't have time to return & wait for replacements. The price could not be beat & so far the filter is working well. I will purchase from them in the future.

These cartridges outperform the original filter that came with my Hayward unit! The initial pressure is lower because the flow is better, and they last about two weeks longer between cleaning.My pool gets a moderate amount of tree debris all year round, and these filters get me six weeks easy. Since they're reasonably affordable, I buy them in pairs, so I can take my time cleaning them.A tip: to clean one, I briefly rinse off any loose debris, then soak it for a few days in a tall trashcan, in water with one cup of liquid Cascade dishwasher fuid. Then it's a matter of a thorough rinse, and it's as good as new!

I was ready to spend $100.00 for replacement filter from the local pool store, but never again! This filter was 1/2 the cost of what I would have spent. I don't feel guilty in the least for cutting them out of the loop, because their markup was unreasonable (they weren't selling Hayward OEM filters).Update:Not sure if the Hayward filter would have had the same problem, but the fiber retaining bands broke after about the 2nd cleaning of the filter cartridge (about every 2-3 weeks) Also, noticed cracks at the top and bottom plates. Still a bargain over the OEM filter

Pleatco PA120. I received this item, good price, 30% less than local dealers. Excellent construction similar to unicel c8412, has center plastic core for support of filter element, & 4 individual plastic bands surround filter element provide additional support, Fits hayward filter canister. Filter arrived 2 late for use as pool was closed for the season. I have Unicel C8412 in use & Pleatco pa120 seems similar. I am happy with the price & my visual review of pa120. If there are any future problems an update will be issued. Prompt shipment by amazon.com

This filter is durable and easy to clean! It has enough surface area that I can clean it every two weeks, instead of weekly like the "bargain" filters I have bought in the past. My family and I use our pool two to three times a week.

i have been buying these filter for my pool.. I paid 42.50 last June, it went up 20 $ since last year.. I will be looking for another place to buy these..
