My Frigidaire refrigerator was leaking water on the floor. ...
My Frigidaire refrigerator was leaking water on the floor. This was miserable! At first I thought it was a faulty icemaker, until I saw water pouring in and overfilling the ice maker. So I replaced the water valve. This didn't fix the problem either...still had water pouring over the top of the icemaker and freezing inside the freezer compartment. Finally I saw a review about this diode kit fixing a similar problem. I decided to try it and BINGO! No more water leaks. I wish I would have started with this diode, but at least I finally got the problem fixed.

Dog chewed the back of fridge
We replaced this ourselves quite quickly. The water works but ice is occasionally not working, that maybe a different issue. Happy to have it as a possibility.

Fixed water dispenser?
The diode came to the house in a few days, which was good. I thought I needed it because the voltage at the solenoid valve water inlet was way below 110 ac, prob should be a dc measurement after the diode... So i replaced the diode but still had no water at the door. Then i disconnected the output tube at the solenoid and had water there when triggered; should have done that the first time...Turnes out the tube in the door was frozen. So i found a piece of 2 strand solid strand telephone wire, removed 1" of insulation off the end , twisted up, and foolded it back to .5", heated the end up with a lighter and fed it down the tube about 20 times or so reheating and removing a bit of water each time till it broke thru. Viola the water works and I have a spare diode to boot. Thanks

Extremely high cost
It's two diodes and a short pigtail of copper wire. The entire Assembly is less than a dollar in RETAIL material cost, yet it is priced over 37 dollarsIt works as it should, but the price should be no more than 3 or 4 dollars NOT $37.88!!
