The Lost Secrets of Prayer: Practices for Self-Awakening

Effectual Prayer is praying the will of God. I believe this is true. I do not know what to pray for. I find myself praying for liberation from the answered prayers I prayed for.What I requested in Prayer as a solution became a problem that engendered Prayer for another solution, which became a problem that caused Prayer for another solution and on it goes.Ironically when I take self out of the picture, what is necessary for life comes into focus. I read this in other books, but none excelled at describing it as lucidly as Mr. Finley.The following quote illustrates this point: "The person who doesn't know, and accepts what ignorance permits, receives what ignorance requests."

The book really made me think. It was so important to me that I had to take notes.

Guy is a wonderful, humble and generous man and his book of prayer is a must for anyone seeks answers and guidance!

I had a copy of the book before and gave it to a friend.I wanted to get it replaced.It is a great book for someone who is going through a difficult time.If someone wants to know more about how to pray better-this is the book for you.

This book is a useful tool. Finley teaches you how to help yourself. His message transcends both culture and religion.The most valuable parts of the book for me are where he teaches you how to move beyond past hurts and disappointments. He also is very good at explaining the meaning of prayer and how to reap its benefits.

This is an educatiional book. It not only encourages prayer, but it advances prayer for those who make prayer a large part of their life. I am thrilled that Mr. Finey wrote this book and was able to share it.

This book renewed my belief in "prayers and peace of heart". What more can I say?

A bit bored at the beginning of the book, but the middle is packed with powerful truths which all of us need to live by.

Very informative and heart expanding; it goes with my Esoteric collection!
