Virtually Indistructible!
Our Aussie loves and adores this ball! We have purchased so many herding balls, and they have never lasted more than 24 hours - even with supervision. This ball appears to be indestructible! He gleefully chases it around and around the yard. Perfection!

DOG LOVES IT. durable, light weight, smooth hard plastic
My 1 year old (90lb, super energetic) german shepherd puppy LOVES this ball. The Boomer ball's smooth and hard plastic makes it very DURABLE, even against my dog's teeth which seem to so easily shred every other toy he has. It's about the size of a bowling ball, so my DOG CANNOT PICK IT UP... THIS IS A GOOD THING!! It means he cannot 1. get it stuck in his mouth, or 2. chew it up or make those awful grooves in it with his teeth which would make the ball sharp as happens with many other hard plastic dog toys. Plus, the fact that he cannot pick it up with his mouth makes it all the more addictive and challenging for him. He bats it with his paws and pushes it around with his nose, or tries (with fail) to grab it with his mouth. However, because it is so LIGHT WEIGHT, the boomer ball doesn't leave him with swollen or bloodied paws or nose as many have said happens with the jolly ball Jolly Pet 14-Inch Push-n-Play, Purple . It's pretty noisy inside when it's being rolled into walls all the time, but it's not heavy, so it won't do damage to our home. Likewise, I can play soccer (kicking the ball to/for my dog) without fearing it would harm my dog if it hits him. (granted I don't kick it that hard since it's made of plastic instead of rubber.) It does have some engraved parts for the logo, but so far, my dog hasn't gotten his teeth in them. I imagine he could if he pinned it in a corner just right. I would absolutely recommend the boomer ball for dog owners. JUST MAKE SURE YOU GET A SIZE THAT IS BIGGER THAN CAN FIT IN YOUR DOG'S MOUTH WHEN OPEN TO ITS MAXIMUM. (my german shepherd uses the 8x8x8 (large) boomer ball.)

Hours of fun for big working dogs
Both of my dogs love this! It’s getting my Rottweiler to exercise which is a big feat! My German Shepherd requires supervision with this ball though because on day one we went swimming in our pond after the ball, it definitely floats 😆. This toy is very fun for them, I’ll probably buy a second one because they are not good at sharing. I love that the ball is hard and mildly slippery so my big boy can’t pick it up with his mouth. This keeps him from chewing it and keeps him up moving! Win win! It also allows for more interactive play because they have a habit of getting a ball and playing keep away from the other one. Over all great toy! I hope it remains durable. Will update my review if I find it breaks soon.

My mini aussie's new favorite outside toy!!
This is a great product. I received it prett quickly. It has a nice weight to it and pretty sturdy as far as I can tell. I have a mini aussie (around 30lbs) and he LOVES his new ball. He just chases that thing back and forth in the backyard herding it til he tires himself out. He lays beside it for a few minutes to rest a few minutes and goes at it again!! Since we just received it, I'm not sure of its longevity just yet. But I will be sure to update this review down the line! Overall AWESOME product!! **UPDATE 6/5/20** I have decided to dock 1 star for this ball, because even though this ball is still functional and my dog still loves it to death, I've had a couple conserns with it. 1, its gotten pretty beat up from my dogs teeth/claws as he chases it around making it bounce in rocks & other outdoor surfaces thay the surface very rough. 2, because the ball is made of hard plastic and the rough texture it has now, the top of my dogs snout and the tip of his nose are pretty much rubbed raw as he noses it around playing. And sometimes his nose looled a little swollen to me. I had to take it away from him after a while so he wont injer himself or make his nose bleed! I got a solid 6 months before I noticed any of these conserning things. I've tried other balls but this one seems to be my dog's favorite toy ever. I think I might just have to watch him closer and limit his time with it.

It’s decent for destructive land sharks
To set the scene my two dogs, a 50lb Aussie herder and 80lb Aussie Shepard, love giant balls and have torn through everything on the market. I was a little apprehensive to purchase this one as it’s just 10” but took a shot. It is a very hard ball as most have stated, which is fine cause that’s what I need (I’m half tempted to use a bowling ball at this point). We just had our first play, after 10 min in the 97 degree weather you can see how much it can get gouged and roughed up. It doesnt feel like it will cave in which is what I’m more concerned about with other balls but if you don’t want to risk your pups ingesting tiny slivers of plastic they scratch off then I’d avoid this. I plan on using a rasp when it gets too bad. My biggest negative here, outside of how easily they scratch into it, is the design embedded in the ball. There’s a recessed dog design, some text and a ring around the entire ball. It looks pretty but that gives the dogs a spot to grip on and do further damage. That design choice was not well thought out. All in all if not caving in is more important to you, and you’re willing to sand or rasp the ball down after every few plays, I think it’s worth the $50. We play 4x/day everyday so lasting is more important to me.

Challenge accepted and not disappointed
Hello! If you have a fur baby like mine that's sees every toy as a challenge to destroy in record time then this toy will not let you down! I have a 4 year old 100lbs rottie that goes through all toys within hours and (sometimes minutes). I'm always looking for "aggressive chewer" toys and always seem so disappointed when my dog manages to superseded the requirements for an "aggressive chewer". We bought this ball in October of 2023 and with in an hour I bought another one!! (One for outside and one to travel with us when we go on vacation) This ball pisses my Rottweiler off so bad because he can't bite it and deflate it! My husband and I have had hours of fun watching my fur baby get stumped by this ball! We bought the 10in size ball and it's the perfect size for him to roll around and paw at. Per my dogs durability test....this ball is amazing. This poor ball has been bitten, clawed, rolled through grass, dirt, cement flooring, wood flooring, etc and is still rolling strong! Now that being said, poor ball is not without its battle wounds. We do have a few scratches but that's to be expected and the scratches do not effect the integrity of the ball. Please know if you do by a ball for inside, no furniture, wall, table, legs, toys, cats, etc are safe. With that said, we also have had no damage to our walls or furniture. Our rottweiler has been slapped by our cat a few times but no damage other than pride. This is light weight which is so nice and makes it easy to travel with and throw around for our dog to chase after it! So if you have been let down over and over I personally recommend this ball for your aggressive chewer dog!! You will not regret it! We sure don't!

BEWARE THIS BALL WILL INJURE YOUR DOG!
When i bought this ball the picture showed the ball covered by the netting around it,i did not realize that it had a rather wide seam down the center of it.My dog played with this ball for all of 15 minutes (supervised)he loved it,was hutting it like a football then chasing after it.The ball is made of a VERY HARD PLASTIC!!! I brought him in and he started to climb the steps and i caught him as he was falling backward, since i was behind him i just thought he was worn out from playing,i then noticed he was walking very slow and odd.My daughter and i decided to check him out and we saw what we thought was blood on the inside of one of his thighs and on both legs,i grabbed a soft cloth and soap water wiped the area's no blood,he was SKINNED the seam of this ball almost tore the hide off of him, then we noticed a lump on his leg (bruise) then noticed blood on his paw where he evidentally caught one of his nails in one of the divets.I cried for buying a toy that hurt my baby boy! I called the seller Petstore and reported what had happened also sent emails and refund request, they told me it was a manufacturer's issue and to contact them which i did and was advised that i would be receiving a call from the company manager, manager never called,i tried calling back several times got a machine telling me to call back later.Filed an Amazon A to Z claim, was denied reason being that item had to be unopened and in original packing and new condition.I called amazon and they are filing an appeal for me,i will post the result in an update.Dangerous product, terrible customer service, terrible return policy, perhaps i should ask the Attorney my daughter works for what i should do about this before another Dog is injured by this product!!
