This thing is great. Easy to install
This thing is great. Easy to install. You will probably need to use the optional shorter pole if you are installing in a tub set up inside an apartment with normal height ceilings... (Bostonian here) The longer one is for if you are installing in a full length stand up shower with no tub... Positives: looks great, easy to set up, lots of tension and LOTS of storage... Cons: I see some people complaining about how hard it is to compress to put in place. It is hard to compress and thus hard for it to fall out of place which is good... I am a big guy and lift lots of weights and you really need to compress this thing a lot to get it in place. I had to really focus and pull it down and I let my grip go by accident and it launched! Go slow, have a firm grip, or you'll launch this at someone's face. Luckily I was alone doing this. I don't mean any offense to the other reviewers, but just ask a younger friend in slightly better shape to compress and install for you. I could see a small person really struggling to compress fully. There is the option to cut the pole, but then you lose tension and can put less weight on it. Another review points out too much tension and it will put a hole in your wall... I didn't cut the pole and I installed above a tub and below a lip in the wall. I didn't cut it at all and put in a fairly small space... this thing will not break holes in your ceiling... Overall, great product. Buy it!

Held in place for a over a year without falling once.
Update: this thing proved to be way better than I expected. I didn't add any type of adhesive or anything, and the shelf held in place until I moved. Not even a basket ever fell. Definitely worth the price. At first glance it appears like a nice product. It assembled easily and the instructions are easy to follow. It is very very tall and difficult to maneuver while installing as the poles fall apart from each other so easily and the baskets rest on split silicone rings so the whole thing has a tendency to disassemble itself. It was too tall for my shower even compressing the spring as much as possible. I tried using it without the short bottom pole, and it was too short. I ended up sawing about 6” off the bottom short pole to get it to fit. Once it it’s under a good amount of tension, but the point of contact on the ceiling is so small that it is far from sturdy. The areas of connection are clear weak spots, and the whole things just feels flimsy. As soon as I put some weight in the baskets, you can tell it won’t stay up. I’ll be using some waterproof adhesive tape to attach it to the tile, then I think it will be great. not sure it was worth all the extra work but the price is so low that maybe it was.

Nice caddy, but assembly is a pain.
This is a pretty nice shower caddy as long as you can you manage to get it installed. It seems pretty stable once set up with the tension spring pushing everything tight, but the pieces all just slide together without any sort of screws or fasteners so it's all loose components before you get it in place. Moving it into the shower without having it fall apart was a circus act and probably would have been much easier with two people. The tension spring takes some muscle to get in place, and the poles bow slightly to one side once sitting in the shower, but this isn't a big deal since you can just twist them so they lean inward towards the wall. I was worried initially about the baskets falling down since they aren't actually attached to the poles and just loosely slide over an adjustable rubber grommet, but they seem fine as long as you make sure they are pushed down tight. Just be careful to not accidentally hit one from the bottom as that could knock it out of place. Due to the nature of how they connect to the main pole, they are likely more stable with some weight in them. A small sheet of thin metallic tape is included to seal the seams between poles. A bit annoying to put on, but at least it's the same color of the metal finish so it doesn't really look out of place as long as you apply it cleanly. I'd recommend measuring your install location before you buy and reading the instructions carefully (there is a link to the PDF in the product description). Take note that you might have to cut the metal poles to make it fit properly in your shower. If so, make sure you have the tools necessary to cut them otherwise you're gonna be out of luck.

Excellent space saver, L-shape shelves work best for small shower spaces.
I actually had bought a wide basket version from the same company a couple years ago, but ended up editing my review as I had to toss the entire caddy. The item had rusted a lot, and often fell over due to the weight of the products on the shelves. (Bigger baskets are not necessarily a good thing!) You can see my review in my profile. I ended up with this item to change things up, and it's great so far. It fits more than enough products without allowing me to add more unnecessary bottles (thus contributing more to the weight and susceptibility to topple over), and the L-shape is actually better for my shower. It hugs the corner so it feels less intrusive into the stall space. Pros: - Fairly easy to construct. I had a bit more difficulty with this item than the previous one, but still manageable solo. - Surprisingly fits a lot of products. I have multiple bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and face washes and it hasn't toppled (so far). Cons: None so far... The only callout is it's the same material as before, so I'm assuming I'll see some rust in a few months. I'll try and make another update in a year.

Beware! You will need to cutting tools to assemble!
The fine print is in the description. In the video, they touch lightly on this. Of course, the example looks easy because they didn’t cut the tube! I dare the company actually tell the truth that most standard bathrooms will require cutting of one pipe. I measured my space and needed to cut 4 inches from one tube. I tried to fit this together like a puzzle so I wouldn’t need to cut. Nothing worked and I even had friends measure their bathroom to see if I could just gift this to someone. If you don’t have to cut a tube then your bathroom is not standard. Here is my major issue with this product. If you need tools for assembly, most will include them. A simple single-use cutting tool would have been nice. Here I am, going into a plumbing store with a stupid pole and asking if anyone could cut this thing for me and I would buy them lunch. I totally walked in with a $10 Subway gift card. Let me explain this, if the height you need is between 71 and 80 inches, you will need a metal cutting device to cut one tube. Once I arrived back home with my pipe that has been cut, I tried to assemble it by following the instructions. I would say I am pretty decent with following directions, but this was a train wreck. They are not specific or didn’t give me the information I needed. If you look in the video, when the assembly takes place and he puts the clear rubber things on the pipe, they have a tapered end. If you don’t put them on correctly, then you will have issues with the baskets sliding down. Mine slide anyways, but they slide less with this rubber thing going the right direction. Finally, I get it assembled and head into the bathroom. Once I pushed the spring-loaded top against the ceiling, I found my shelf was still too tall. Discouraged, I put it back into the box and requested to send it back. Day two rolls around and my stubborn self says I am going to beat this thing. I took everything apart and tried again. Once again, I fought the lack of instructions and tried a different piece that was noted as extra. Once I had it all together, I trotted again back into my bathroom. This time, it fit! As I was sliding it around into position, the shelves kept sliding down. I attempted to put the rubber things back on, but nothing worked. Finally, I decided I would get my hot glue gun out and just put some dabs of glue to hold them. Maybe with something acting as a stopper, the rubber pieces would not move. Now comes the tape. Jesus, are they serious? Tape to cover a seam so the water won’t get in and cause it to rust. Okay, this brilliant idea was not sinking in at all. I put the tape on the seams and hoped for the best. I will report, the tape has held up for about 45 days and is now peeling away. It would be too much to ask for extra tape to be included so you can replace it. I do have it to the backside of my shower, but water still does reach it. As for using this product, my story is as disappointing as the installation. The shelves will not hold much weight, as they slide constantly. My hot glue dabs didn’t work! So the bottom shelf has to be braced by the edge of the tub to hold my shampoo and conditioner. If I pump it, the entire shelf bows out from the wall. I carefully remove items and put them back, as I fear this thing will jump out and grab me. And my basket seam does not match together, meaning I have raw edges around the baskets. I didn’t think much of it until I can see it is rusting now. I did think of returning it but I already cut the pipe and have too much hate invested in this thing. I will be moving in the next few months, so we will just continue this love and hate relationship, in hopes that this spring-loaded piece of junk will not come tumbling down when I am in the shower. If it does, I hope it is with the next person that moves in because I have already been given permission to leave it behind! My final opinion after buying it, putting it together twice, and using it for two months is that this should be something you stay clear from. Just go get something else!

Good Luck
This rack was one of the most annoying things I've ever had to assemble. The rubber stoppers don't hold the shelves in place before the rack is fully put together and installed in the shower, and the rods don't stay locked together. So you have to somehow keep everything from falling apart while you're also desperately trying to get it to stand up. I was fully aware that I would probably have to cut one of the rods to get it to fit properly. But when I placed this in my shower without the extra rod, it was only a teeny tiny bit too short. I was able to cut through the rod pretty easily with a jewelry saw. But it was still too long so I decided to omit the extra rod, and totally jury rig the thing. This is going to sound a little ridiculous, but after all of this aggravation I was *this* close to snapping and burning my house down. I busted out the hot glue gun, nickels, and duct tape. I hot glued about 6 nickels to the top and I sealed it with duct tape. The top looks ugly as hell but the rest looks nice. It serves it's purpose and seems pretty sturdy, which is why I'm giving 3 stars instead of 1. Also I put the tension rod on the bottom end of the shelf rather than the top. It works better this way and prevents you from accidentally busting a hole in your ceiling during installation. So if you don't mind a potentially horrible assembly, then I guess it's an okay deal.

Great product!
I suggest taking measurements of the area you would like this, invade you don’t have a tool to cut the pole for accurate measurement. I did not. My measurements were between 69-71 inches and it requires about 4 inches to be cut from one of the rods so the installation is more secure, the tension pole is long and will run down to fit, but not all the way because of the spring, it has a lot of resistant so that it fits snug, which isn’t a bad thing. I hadn’t prepared well enough to put this together and in my shower so I had to end up cutting the tension pole. It is thinner than the other poles and easier to cut just using wire cutters, but the instructions mention cutting the base poles instead. It was a bit tricky to have to rig the way I did with the tools I had. But overall I’m very pleased with it and it looks amazing in my shower, holds all of my products well and is sturdy enough that my toddler won’t pull it out of place when they get curious of the sturdiness.

Sturdy with TONS of Shelf Space
This is a pretty decently built unit. It arrives with one deep dish basket 3 1/2inches deep and 3 that are 2 1/2 inches deep. The baskets are built solidly enough that they are not going to easily bend or break with daily use, even if it is a bit rough. In other words unit does not have to be “babied”. Each shelf is wide enough.. (from front to wall side) to hold the very large 33.8 oz bottles of whatever.. Mine are Redkin shampoo and conditioners just to give you an idea.. they’re BIG. The shelves can be put at whatever spacing you want. The manufacturer suggests you put the deepest dish on bottom.. which makes sense if you are using it for the heaviest items. My only complaint, is the little plastic rings that you slide on the pole and then push the badkets over the ring to hold the badket in place. They just suck. They absolutely work, don’t get me wrong.. they are just a pain to use. They are not a solid circle, like I am used to. These are very nice.. wide and thick.. but since they are open on one side.. just barely.. I had a harder time getting the ring to stay level while sliding the basket down onto it. Not a problem that I would call a contractor to take care of for me.. or even my husband.. just different than what I am used to, and therefore a little more difficult. This is a great unit though if you want something sturdy, that has a deep enough bin with a great wraparound badket so things do not tip over or constantly fall out. I bought 2 of these, and will definitely buy again when needed. Highly recommend
