the field rats were really annoying, popping up at the edges of my yard, I tried to kill a few with traps, but it's really inconvenient as they stink up the trash can if I do it on any day besides the day before trash pickup day. someone in the neighborhood must have spread some rat poison around, because one of the dead rats ended up at the base of my yard sofa, which startled the heck out of me. another one died on a slope next to the edge of the yard, which I found out when the smell started to get bad. so i looked for a solution and thought this might help. It did help! after 3 weeks, I see a rat once in a while running on the wooden yard walls, but they now stay out of my yard.

We have battled mice/rats since our new neighbors moved in - guess they brought them with the move. Anyway - was excited to try this since it was listed as pet and family safe and prayed it would work. However, after reading the directions fully, it clearly stated NOT to store where children or pets would come in contact with it - so obviously NOT pet/family friendly. Anyway, we put the whole bag out on the outside of our fences in hopes that it would force the critters to find a new refuge. Our dogs stayed away from the fence for about 24 hours, so they didn't like the scent. But it only took 2 days to kill another big fat fella on the trap again; and the next day my dog killed a field mouse in the back yard. So, I would not recommend this product.

Started using peppermint scented products after I started getting headaches from moth ball smell. I buy packages of 100 little sachet mesh pouches with ties and fill them with these pellets. I toss them all around the inside of the RV for winter storage. I used to only put moth balls around the outside if the RV, but the smell came into a vent one year and we could never get rid of it. Down side of these is I have to throw fresh ones in every 2 months. This might be a problem if the RV was packed into a storage lot with no way to get into it. Mine is where I can get in all year. The pouches that work well are the ones you see on the tables at weddings filled with little candies.

Stuff works good but leaves a mess!

We had one very sly and intelligent rat coming out of the kitchen near the dishwasher. 8-10 banana stalks (one white potato), one by one being eaten away week after week. Tried many traps, bucket drop, cage spring loaded, beartrap type and glue sheets. None worked. THIS is the only one that has kept it at bay. No eating signs of a rat, bananas or potatoes, since wrapping in cheesecloth satchels placed near the food. Safe, and effective. The odor is NOT offensive, Thanks! Absolutely would give high grades!

I live in a 5th wheel on my sons property. I live in a meadow and love to feed the wildlife. The problem is that also attracts rats. They get under my trailer and do a lot of damage. I purchased this and throw cup full of it in several areas under my trailer. Before I used this product, I would see 3 or 4 at a time at the feeders. Since I used this, I have only seen 1. I ordered more and will do the perimeter as they recommend. It seems to be working well for me.
