Mighty little gen/set.
Excellent shipping, product was as advertized. Easy instructions to assemble and start up, no issues. Switched off power to my gas furnace and switched to gen power and it ran perfectly. Added my two garage refrigurators as well no problem for this bad boy! Would buy again and sugggest to my friends to buy. Plus the size is perfect for my garage, and the whells make it so portable. I happen to use propane but I'm assuming the other two fuels would be just as awesome. Love the gas tank, eight gallons. Thinking about installing a 50 amp transfer switch which would clean things up.

Nice unit at a reasonable price
Finally unpacked, assembled, and tested this today. I live in Fl and have used a Kubota 6500w diesel generator for the last 21 years. It got me through a lot outages. It quit working and I haven't been able to find parts to repair it and with freezers full of food and hurricane season approaching, I choose this unit for my power needs.. This Wen DF-1100 was delivered by ABF trucking. They communicated well about schedule/time, the machine was in it's factory box and strapped securely to a pallet in an enclosed semi trailer. Not a dent/tear/mark on the box so hats off to ABF trucking-great job. Finally got the box out of my van today and assembled the unit which consisted of attaching the wheels, handles, pads, adding oil, connecting positive cable to battery, removing the 2 shipping bars, connecting the propane regulator line and the propane tank. Very easy setup. The battery seemed fully charged and within a few spins the engine was purring nicely. I ran it for about 5 minutes and then connected my pool pump to it and let it run about 20 minutes. Everything checked out fine and the meter/monitor functions as it should. The unit is fairly loud but not dramatically louder than any other I've heard. It seemed to me it was actually a bit quieter than expected. I'll be building a dedicated enclosure for this unit near my power pole and that will make a huge difference on the noise level. I haven't put gasoline in the tank yet and have only run it once on propane. The dual fuel aspect of this genny is great. I have a 1000 gal in ground propane tank and I'm considering running a permanent line to it once I have an enclosure built. It is more expensive to run it on propane but for longevity, the propane burns much cleaner and the engine will have an extended life versus gasoline. I plan to get a magnetic oil dipstick for it to help keep the oil clean as there is no oil filter. Oil changes look like an easy affair and at 1 quart, I plan to change it frequently. I will add an inline fuel filter before I try it in gas mode. I like that it has an on/off gas petcock as I always run the carb dry when shutting down. This is key and here's an example of why. I have a gas powered pressure washer with a small Honda engine. I always add fuel stabilizers to the gas on all my small engine stuff, mowers, p washers, generators etc. as sometimes a good deal of time goes by between usages. The last time I used the washer was almost 2 years ago. I turned off gas petcock at last use and it ran until all the gas was burned. I just used it and it started on the 2nd pull after 2 years. No gunked up carb because all the gas was burned out of it and the gas in the tank was still fine. So far, this genny seems like great value but only time will tell regarding longevity. The owners manual is pretty good. There is an exploded view of the engine and the generator with a complete list of ALL parts with part numbers. There is also a complete wiring diagram of the electrical components. I just spent an hour looking up parts on the Wen website. Every item I clicked on was readily available. I plan on assembling a good selection of replacement parts as I will have this unit for years and it seems everything can be repaired with current parts availability should the need arise. I think this is a good strategy for anyone purchasing a generator for the long haul. Based on my initial unpacking and test, I would not hesitate to recommend this unit. I will do some follow up reviews on this unit as time passes and usage goes up.

Great Product At A Great Price
Bought this to replace an AI Power SAU12000 watt generator. The AI Power is a nice machine and served us well during power outages, but wanted more power and couldn't beat the price of this WEN. BTW, I plan on keeping the AI Power gennie too. I have several WEN products and LOVE THEM. The first WEN product I purchased was about 20 years go and still going strong. Delivery was easy, they brought it into the garage, I followed the set-up directions, brought it outside to its spot and it fired up effortlessly! Ran it for about a half hour, then shut it down. In the Spring, I'll put down a 4x4 concrete slab and get one of those steel enclosures. I highly recommend all WEN products. Great value. Some of these other generator manufacturers are insane with their pricing, and if you read some reviews, their customer service after the sale is non-existent. It was an easy decision. Good luck!

She’s a beast I use mine for mobile welding occasionally
Easy to move and operate weight isn’t that bad I picked it up and put her on my tail gate pretty easily now don’t get me wrong I do weigh about 275 so for some I could see why she heavy but assembly was straight forward she has plenty of power to run my ole tombstone Lincoln welder and noise isn’t a problem for me seen as though I’m mostly in the bush with mine . Battery is fine and I definitely recommend

It’s been a good purchase. BUT MAKE SURE YOU PUUT A LOAD ON IT EVERY OTHER MONTH!
I think pretty much all of these portable generators are made in a couple of places in China. This particular one seems pretty good build quality. The parts seem pretty well made - not American but pretty good for the China man. A couple of things to know. The directions are good and the manual has excellent descriptors for a Chinese product. It goes together in about 20 minutes if you’re slow. HOWEVER, read the directions! MAKE SURE YOU REMOVE THE RED PACKIng ENGINE MOUNTS AS PER THE DIRECTIONS. DO THIS AS YOU ARE PUTTING ON THE RUBBER FEET BRACKET. DO NOT MISS THIS STEP. ONCE YOU PUT OIL IN IT YOUR GOING TO HAVE A TOUGH TIME GETTING THOSE BRACKETS OFF WITHOUT TURNING THE GENERATOR OVER. That is why the directions tell you this step first. Don’t ask me how I know that. The carburetor on this was stuck when I got it so the generator would only run on propane. If you’ll look at the picture you see an arrow pointing at the carburetor drain screw. Remove that screw ( DONT DROP IT AND MAKE SURE THAT LITTLE GASKET STAYS ON THE SCREW.) Again, don’t ask me how I know that. Spray some carburetor cleaner in that hole. Give it a real good spray. Then get the handle of your pocket knife and tap on the carburetor. That should unstick that float needle and allow gas to glow freely. Crank it up after you’ve read the directions again! Check on line to see if you can get ethanol free fuel. Its worth a drive to get the good stuff and stay away from the corn fuel. I also opted for the magnetic aluminum oil dipstick it’s well worth the money. I’ll check back in over the years to leave updates. But the China man did all right. I wish Americans would produce products again - I would sure buy ‘em. 1-24-24. (MAKE SURE YOU RUN IT EVERY MONTH WITH A LOAD ON IT AND USE ETHANOL FREE GAS IF YOU CAN)I haven’t had to use it in an emergency yet, however, I do run it EVERY 6 weeks or so. BUT I RUN IT WITH A LOAD ON IT!! I hook up a1500 watt space heater and run it for 30 minutes. Runs good on both propane and gas. I had a 50 amp electrical service put in on the side of my home. If I have to use the gen I take it from my shed, roll it over to the hook up, plug in the 50 amp Rv electrical cord, use the electrical block out plate on the panel and we’re back in business. I can run everything in the house including the central HVAC. So far - so good. So I guess we’re ready for gen z’s zombie apocalypse. 3/2025. I run it every six weeks on both ethanol free gas and propane! Never has failed. I decided to try the pull start the other day. Just for grins. I wanted to see if it was hard to start with the pull handle. It was about 80 degrees and I opened the lever to start the flow of fuel from the gas tank to the carburetor. I waited about two minutes before I tried even once. The generator turned over very easily and started on the first pole. I’m surprised at this generator. It is very big and heavy and loud, but it looks like it will take care of our place. Should we need it in the future. I don’t think you can go wrong getting one and this one this big will run my entire house. So far so good - it’s been a good buy 8-8 -25. Car accident took out some power poles in our N Texas county. 105degress heat index. Pulled the Ginny out. Hooked it up and it ran flawlessly. My whole house 3 ton ac too. I did turn off my water heater. I installed a “soft start” on the ac too. It was great! Unless you have electrical experience, leave the connections up to the pros. I’m still running the generator every 6 weeks with a load on and ABSOLUTELY NO ethanol gas!!!!

Gotta’ have this for your future power outages
After our mid-June storm up in MN caused severe power outages for days or more, I bought this back-up generator for the future. It is a robust, 3-way generator that’ll run on gas, LP, or natural gas. Great price and an enormous amount of power!

Great generator...
I bought this generator about a year ago. It was delivered fast. After reading the set up instructions, it started right up. I hadn't had an opportunity to use it until recently, but it worked well during a recent power outage from a winter storm. It is well built, compact, & the wheels make it easy to move around.

A work horse indeed.
I’m comparing this with my Wen 6800 generator. I could have gotten a different brand but the Wen 6800 works perfect I just needed more power to run my dryer. The Wen 6800 has enough to start up the dryer it didn’t have the continuous running power which I needed 5600 watts. Well this big daddy here is 14,500 watts start up but it drops around 10’000 something using propane and that’s enough for my dryer. This 120/240V Tri-Fuel is all it claims to be. I use only propane for my generator’s keeping it cleaner running. I learned from my smaller propane tanks it better to use the 40 or the 100-lb tank with this generator so they won’t frost up on you. I do recommend this generator. I live in town and I do have neighbors it’s not as quiet as my 6800 . It quickly dry the clothes and I use it once a week.other than Being some what louder than the other, perfect.
