Easy fit, install and formatting for my Eufy Base station

Bought this to replace a corrupt hard drive on a playstation 4 slim for a friend. I will say it worked as expected and I didn't have any issues with it. The first thing to keep in mind is that this is a $30 drive, which in itself is a pretty crazy deal considering it is a full 1TB of storage. It's speed is as fast as a standard Sony drive, and it doesn't make any noise which is funny to mention but I've ran into some drives before that made random beeps. In case you were wondering too, it is compatible with any model of the ps4, and you could slap it into a pc as well if you wanted too. Overall, pretty good quality for a $30 drive. Can't say that I'm not impressed.

To use this you need a USB flash drive, a PC, and the Sony help websight to get the instructions and boot up file. Other than that Showed up on time for ps4 repair job is an exact fit for ps4 slim, holds more storage space but it isn't going to speed up game loading screens or nothing like that cause it's the same rpm as original PS4 hard drive.

bought this originally for my ps3 and was gonna use the old harddrive for my ps4. and everything seemed fine up until i finished the set up. but once i started to actually try and put all my stuff back i started getting issues left and right. first it stopped my downloads then it froze up then it shut my system down forcefully and said that it needed to restore the file system but then it got stuck at 22% and was not moving any more. this was after 7 hours so i had no choice but to shut it down and try to restore the system and for a moment i thought it worked it turned back on got to the menu but same thing happened could not download anything could not restore backups nothing. all it would do is freeze up. finally i just gave up and decided to put it in my ps4 and just use it for that and now it wont work at all. it seems like whatever happened well it was in the ps3 just completely ruined it and all this happened on the first day i got it. so to anyone buying this do not use for a ps3 even tho they say its for a ps3 it will not work and will become corrupted quick and will be useless. use only for ps4. edit - 5/26/2023 after some looking into you can use this in a ps3 however not all models will take this hard drive due to the tips of it not lining up. it seems original ps3 is fine most slim models will work but super slim is a no go which is what i have. for whatever reason sony decided to use a different drive for these and this harddrive will not work in it. so yeah i now know what happened to the drive and why it wont work i pushed it in and it did click in but because the other pins were exposed since it had a few extra that the slim had not slots for. i guess something happened inside the system causing it to corrupt. this is only a issue on the ps3 all ps4 models can take this harddrive as far as i understand.
