This is perfect
Needed a mic arm to attach to my desk while filming a different angle for youtube videos and this is perfect to hold a small pencil mic. LOVE the fact it's so small and light. I'm surprised there aren't more stands like this here on Amazon but I guess with this one there is no need for alternatives!

Good in principle, but doen't hold heavy mics
the idea is good, but it is not strong enough for heavy mics.

Good quality.
But it’s not too great to hold heavier microphones like my Rode Podmic. I recommend using a lighter microphone if you want to get this

It looks good, but struggles with standard weight
I use a Rode NT2 condenser mic which weighs 1.9kg. It also uses a shock mount which I'm unsure of the weight. This mount can only hold 2.5kg, so it really struggles to hold the mic in place. I got there in the end, but if I touch this thing, it'll drop. I'm going to see how it is in the morning. If I find my mic resting on my keyboard, it'll be sent back and I'll update the review. You would have hoped a mic arm would be able to hold a mic and a shock mount. Update: Had to send the stand back as it could cope with the weight of a mic and shock absorber

Almost perfect but fundamentally flawed - ended up returning it.
I loved this boom arm; nice solid quality and whilst close to being perfect I ended up returning it for two reasons: One: Why have they not put a serrated disc type fixing at the base of the boom arm? What you actually have is a simple clamping action based on how much you tighten the screw and it felt like I was about to overtighten and break it. Two interlocking serrated plates would give a much better connection. The mic I use is an AT-2020, so not the heaviest, but it never seemed to stay in place with the boom arm fully extended. Two: Even fully extended, the boom arm was just too short even with it being fixed close to where I sit at my desk. Another 50mm-100mm would have made all the difference here. Whilst I have now ended up buying a more traditional boom arm, I really loved the Samson MBA18, so was a bit sad to return it – it just didn’t work for me.

Great product! But...
Generally I love this product! So much more cleaner and more ergonomic for my setup. Only issue I'd have is the kind if weight it can handle. I'm using the elgato mic which in itself is a pretty light mic (although I do have it kitted out with the shockmount) I'm very surprised with the money you're spending that it can only barely take it's weight. This is pretty minor complaint considering there is pretty much nowhere else I can find on the Internet a mic arm in this design but I thought I'd point it out as most cheaper arms that aren't great in general design can still handle the weight better. I think that for the price it should at least a have teethed/ratcheted joint at its main up and down pivot point. Saying all that I still love the arm and would definitely reccomend it to others! unless they upgrade that joint I plan to keep using this arm because I really do love the design :)

Wish it would be easier to tighten for heave mics with shock mounts but it does work well once set.

Ne ho provato tanti questo è l'unico che mi ha soddisfatto. Forse perché ha un buon supporto che aggrappa bene al tavolo. Da molta sicurezza.

I got this to replace a gooseneck mount that needed to fit in a very tight, awkward space. This mount is AWESOME! It is terrific quality and hasn't budged a bit or broken in any way despite being moved around daily for quite a while, and when tightened down, it holds my mic perfectly without sagging. It collapses down very small and has wonderful range of motion because it has so many adjustment points, so it can get very out of the way when you need it to, and can be extended to just where you want it when you do need it. This mount is sturdy, well-designed, and more than worth what I paid for it. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a compact, highly adjustable, well-thought-out mic mount. Amazon has millions of cheapo mounts, but this one is great Samson quality and works amazingly well. I haven't seen another mic mount with an even remotely comparable design.

Works great and has some decent clamp range.

Es bueno el brazo solo le falta un pequeño detalle, el tornillo que está a la base que sojeta todo el brazo no apreta suficiente y tiene a girarse por el peso de mi micrófono. Sino fuera por eso sería excelente.
