AA81-00243A Replaced Service Remote Control Applicable for Samsung TV

I bought this remote to use with my Samsung G8 monitor, and it worked perfectly. I was able to adjust all the settings I needed to without any issues. It connected right away and every button responded as expected. No need for any pairing or extra steps. If you have a Samsung monitor and want an easier way to control the settings, this remote is a great option.

Seems like a small price to pay for overriding annoying factory settings which standard Samsung remotes can't access, such as menus that stay on screen too long. WARNING: Consult online tutorials carefully, and use caution not to void the warranty.

Does not work on the 2025 Samsung TV series from Walmart - ue43au8000. I bought this for the dimming issue as recommended by reddit and it only triggers a color test when in the service menu, but does not open the service menu for you. I'm sure it's fine otherwise.

I run my M80 on game mode all the time and each time the display is powered on, it insisted on displaying not one but two popups that take 20 seconds to disappear on their own or an explicit use of the remote to dismiss them.The service remote allowed me to get into the lower level menus and thankfully disable the popup permanently!

I was able to access the service menu on my S90D to disable the dimming screen saver feature. No more annoying dimming while gaming or watching certain shows and movies.There is outdated information out there on how to get to the service menu on this TV, here is what I did:Press info then factory. Then use the arrow keys, the right arrow selects and the menu button goes back a level.

You will still need to enter mute-1-1-9-enter to get to the Hospitality menu but this remote will properly navigate and set menu items unlike a normal remote which only accesses the first item. Menus are still limited so the potential for damage is much less than on a LG which you can potentially mess up the TV much easier. Remember to power off and on, only then will the new setting take place. I used it mostly to lower the maximum volume setting. One problem occurs but it is not the remotes problem but the TV's. Your TV will reset to vivid mode for the picture you have reset back to natural. Some units will then use the settings as before and other need all the picture settings readjusted, only used on 2 units, different lines and years. Both changed to vivid mode but non-picture settings remain unchanged.Additional settings are available too but I did not need them. Search youtube for a video of those options since this review is only for using the remote itself and what to expect.

DOES NOT WORK!!Anyone directing you here to this remote so you can access the hidden settings for the samsung g8 oddyessey monitor is LYING to you!This remote DOES NOT DO WHAT IT CLAIMS TO DO!!I jsut got the remote, factory button: not supoprt. tools button? Not supported.I curse Samsung for what they did for a great monitor, but screwed the consumers over by making it COMPLETELY NON user friendly, forcing you to have timers pop up and such taht you cannot turn off. Eff Samsung completely!
