Nice Rod for Walleye fishing on a Charter Boat
I have been using this 5' rod for the last 3 years on our annual Lake Erie walleye trip and absolutely love this rod. When you are on a Charter Boat with 6 guys fishing out of the back of the boat, you can't all be using 7'0 rods. This short rod allows me to underhand cast perfect without interfering with the guy next to me. The rod is a medium power and sensitive enough for the light bite. We have 3 guys on our boat that uses these rods and it has handled everything that we have caught on Lake Erie, from Walleye, big channel catfish, and the monster Sheephead. I'm using 10lb line on a 1000 size spinning reel and have not had any problems.
